Improved economic conditions for who? I haven't had a raise in seven years, and the prices keep going up on just about everything. I have yet to see any evidence of the so-called economic recovery. People at about the median income level are still locked out of housing in Salt Lake County.

I've been downsized twice in 3 years. Income reduction of 20% so who is this economy working for?

How many of these homes are being bought by people or families with a traditional mortgage versus cash buyers who in turn either flip the homes or rent them out for a profit. It's really difficult to qualify for a home loan when most middle class Utahans just don't make enough money. Wages in Utah are stagnant just like everywhere else and considering Utah was at the bottom as far as wages to begin with, makes a person skeptical of this article.
