Steve Powell's house is not in Utah.
Steve Powell's crimes were not in Utah.
Steve Powell has never lived in Utah.

Why is Steve Powell or anything Steve Powell says, does, or owns, always in the news in Utah?

His daughter disappeared from here. HUGE connection.
At least this is more readable than:
"Man who once spent the night in Utah questioned for mooning tour bus of seniors in Santa Fe"
or "Lady with cousins in Peoa wins $100 on California scratch-off lottery ticket".

United States, UT

His action were related to the Susan Powell case where his son killed people and Susan has family and loved ones here.

With all due respects,

Steve Powell's actions had nothing to do with Susan's disappearance.

He went to jail for voyeurism of children.

Sick - I admit - but has nothing to do with Susan.
No even circumstantial.

Even if he knows something,
what does the auction of his house in Washington State have to do with anything news-worthy in Utah?

It's not even in the local news in Washington State?

I'm only upset because we have a thing called "Due Process" in our U.S. Constitution.
It's under -- Innocent until proven guilty.

This "implied" guilt by association, via the local Utah news media is a media circus, kangroo court of public perceptions -- NOT back by evidence.

I like it when justice is carried out...

It is certainly relevant news to me

If the proceeds go to pay off victims, I hope it sells for a fortune. If it goes to pay his lawyers or if Powell gets a dime of the money, then I hope it sells for $1.00.

Thanks for the update DN. Powell sought attention during the Susan Powell investigation and seemed to thumb his nose at investigators. It is good to see justice catching up to Mr. Powell for acts that he has been found guilty of.
