you got to love Carleeeeeeeeeno! Go Matty….
There is nothing wrong with being the "white knight" coming to the
rescue. It seems to be a role that Matt excels at. Keep it up!
As a player, at least for me, it is all about being in the game at the end, not
the beginning. Starting is a lot less important than finishing.
Matt Carlino is the same as Tavernari. Very good shooter who needed to be
dialed in occasionally.
No matter that he is coming off the bench. He still scores better than wright
and has about the same assists per games so a bench player is still better that
utah's star player. And to think that there are even better players on the
BYU team than Carlino. The future looks bright bright for BYU.
For whatever reason, Carlino seems to be able to come off the bench without the
personal pressure to play heroics. His issues have always seemed mental when he
would play frantic and make horrible decisions. Maybe just watching for the
first few minutes allows him to get into the flow of the game or knowing someone
has the starting job allows himself to be just another player & play within
himself. I'm fine without knowing all the details as long as he keeps
doing it. Go Coug's!
Selective memory. Matt Carlino scored a game high 19 last year on 7-13 shooting
vs Utah with 5 threes to make it 11 wins in 12 games vs the Utes.Utah gets a home win vs a team rebuilding with no seniors and suddenly they
are Richard Sherman.
Is what Chris B. is trying to say if Carlino hadn't left a beloved
prestigious PAC-12 program he'd be shooting around 60% of his shots. He
shot himself in the foot by going to BYU. Isn't that right Chris?Onward and Upward
I wish they would have just let Haws play instead of sitting him the whole first
half. I would rather see a star play the majority of the game and foul out than
waste away on the bench.
Of course BYU Hater Chris B is the first to comment on a BYU article that has
nothing to do with the Utes (I admit Carlino was horrid against Utah, as was the
rest of the team. It is 10 times worse than they have played in any other game
all year and had they played just average, it would have been a completely
different ball game, but I digress from my main point). Good job being
predictable, Chris. The article is talking about how he as been dong well the
past few game, which is true. The pas 4 games he has been shooting around 53%
from the field. I am sure right now BYU's opponents are scared when he
starts shooting. I hope he can keep it up. Go Cougars!
