moderate, thank you for that insightful commentary on Utah's win over USC
and Dakarai Tucker's role in it.
Mormon UteKaysville, UT yes utah beat byu this year thats the 1st time in
almost 10 yrs that they beat byu in basketball yet you guys continue to shoot
off your mouths at how good the utes are, they play 30 games this year and 24
are at home 7 on the road, who did dr hill pay off to get that many home games,
if they had played byu in provo the utes would have lost by 25 points or more
so who is pumping their chests they have yet to win a game on the road because
they are to chicken and this yrs schedule proves it.
@LonestarRunner:"quality wins... #36 BYU". And
what was the score on that one?Enough said.Go Utes!!
Veritas, I also read that and had a little chuckle about some of the specific
examples. Thanks for the classy remarks, I agree with you about the staff doing
a good job with them. Coach Slocum specifically is doing a great job scouting
and recruiting players, and I think Tommy Connor is secretly one of the best
associate head coaches in the country, and I hope it remains a secret for at
least a while longer!
Proud of the Utes. They have really improved. They have a great staff that is
getting the right kids and teaching that basketball should be hard work, and
fun.The results are exciting!(Just got a email from the
Des News. Told me they would be stricter about civility and stop off topic, yet
they allow this to become a Bash BYU-Utah.) Come on moderators, clean it up.
LonestarRunner,The fact remains that the Utes beat BYU. All the
schedule comparing and chest thumping can't erase that fact. If you want
to compare conferences, take a look at the latest NCAA tournament predictions.
The Pac 12 is predicted to get 5 teams in while the WCC is predicted to have
only one. I guess we Ute fans can get some satisfaction from knowing our team
had something to do with that by beating BYU. What satisfaction do you get from
putting down the team that not only beat your team, but totally dominated them
in every way?
utah hasn´t lost a game by more than 3 points all season. Very close to
being undefeated. That is why the runnin utes are leading the counry
in margin of victory. They eitehr win or lose one in the final seconds. Gotta be happy with this team. Best in the state. Don´t
understand the mentality of the lesser minds that root for another school who
lose big to the utes and then keep trash talking. Do they really not understand
I attended a Utah BB game for the first time in many years, we had a great time
amongst the energetic crowd. The Muss was out in force, loved the band and the
intensity of the team play. With another player or two, they will soon be a
competitor in the league. One obsevation that puzzled me was the
number of fans who commented to me that this was a good victory, but the
year's best victory was the one against BYU ?? Utah has much improved team,
however in my section the fan base is still in the WAC/MWC era.
But seriousThe HC holds 15KIt's good to see it
starting to fill up a bit.Yesterday, the Dnews reported that Utah
was 2nd in the Pac-12 in attendance, behind AZ. Go Utes.
AZUTE1BYU has beaten #46 Texas, #57 Stanford, #95 Utah State, and
#103 San Francisco in road/neutral site games.Utah has only had two
quality wins all season, #36 BYU and #97 USC, both at home. The last
time the Utes won a road game was Jan 19, 2012 at Washington, Utah's ONLY
conference road win since joining the PAC.NOBODY is more experienced
at losing on the road than the hapless Utes who are 1-19 in the PAC 12 and
WINLESS in the Marriott Center during the Dave Rose era. Utah's
ONLY OOC road win since joining the PAC 12 in 2011 was 74-69 over Texas State in
It's a lot easier to hit those threes when you're shooting within the
friendly confines of your own gym.
9200 fans; impressive. How many does the hc hold?
It's hard to believe USC can't put together a better team with their
prominence in So Cal, good education and national recognition. They should be
in the upper quartile of the PAC most years, but have spent a lot of time in the
cellar in recent years.
