    And thus we see that the Church takes care of its own—as well as anyone else around them who happens to be in need.

    Note: the article from the Tongan news outlet itself erroneously uses the word "temple" when it means to say "meetinghouse".

    Is the LDS church the only major organization to be donating or is the red cross or other organizations sending relief as well? I am thankful for the members of the church that give so generously that it can help those in need where ever and when ever.

    Your headline is incorrect. Half of the lds home is one area or on one island were destroyed not in all of Tonga as the headline suggests.

    These are tough and resilient people, sorry to hear of this tragedy for them, but they will rebuild and thrive.

    I am sorry for not just the members in Tonga, but for all those who are affected by this storm. I hope that they will recover soon.
