What an awesome young man. One of my sons wrestled against this young man in a
couple of tournaments. He was more then just an excellent athlete, he was a
wonderful person with a good heart. He made friends with those who had the good
fortune to be around him. God has taken home another valiant spirit.
I coached against Brian and can honestly say that I keep that film around to
show players how football is supposed to be played. He was a great player but
just like Oldcoach said I hear he was a great kid that influenced anyone he came
into contact with. The brightest stars burn out the quickest.
Brian was a lot more than a great athlete--he was a great person. All who knew
him remember him for that more than for his exploits on the field. This kind of
person comes along about once in a coach's life and reminds him that life
is more than about winning and losing and scores and stats. I will miss him.
Our deepest, deepest sympathy to the Scott family. May the grace of the Savior
enable you to find peace in this time of heartbreak and pain.
