I thought it would be another year before we truly had a shot at the big dance and being near the top of the PAC 12.

It's clear this team is ready now.

And it turns out playing only cupcakes in non conference play didn't hurt us in preparing for real teams in PAC 12 play

Onward and upward

Go utes!

Coach Krys is doing a fine job.

The Utes are back. Good game Utah, way to make us proud representing the state. Krisco is a class act, great coach and great recruiter.

What a difference a couple years make. I was skeptical the first year with Coach Krystko, but I really like what is happening with this program. I like the guys they have and the way they play. I don't think you can overstate the contributions that Tommy Connor is having on this program. He does a great job, and I'm sure Coach K. would agree. Great win for the Utes, and good luck this year.

If the Beavers have another losing season, it's clear the only reason Robinson would have a job in Corvallis next year would be politics (literally). 6 years is definitely enough time to gauge what type of program a guy is capable of creating. That's more than a full recruiting class' possible collegiate career, and in that time, they've managed two seasons of .500 or better (one of them only because they somehow got into the CBI after a 13-17 regular season), and had one decent year thanks to the one great player they've had in at least the last decade, Jared Cunningham. If I'm an Oregon State fan, I would be hounding the administration for a change if they make anything less than the NIT this year (which looks likely at this point).

Taylor is doing an excellent job at running the point. The guy can shoot, obviously, but the thing that is most impressive is his court vision. In watching the game in person on Saturday, it was impressive seeing how Taylor was constantly looking at all of his options before making a play. And he made some great passes along with his shooting. This team has the potential to go a long way this year.

Go Utes!!

Brandon Taylor and Jordan Loveridge embody the improvement of Utah basketball. Both were here last year when it was another tough season in the PAC that ended with an impressive run in the PAC tournament, both are fierce competitors with unrelenting drive to succeed, Brandon's inspiration transcends the court and is infectious with the fans. Dakarai Tucker, Jeremy Olsen, Dallin Bachinsky... these guys are bought in.

Then you add in a player like Delon Wright, who is so multi-dimensional, but very selfless (perhaps to a fault), and the ingredients are coming together for a team that can get some well-deserved success. Lenz adds offensive skills as a big, we've yet to really see the contributions of Onwas and Ogbe, but both are promising wings that can defend and score.

So much fun to see the Huntsman Center rocking again.

Though his stature can be deceiving, there's no bigger reason than Brandon Taylor.

This game reminded me a little of Brandon's game at UW last year. The Huskies didn't know what hit them, and that was really his coming out party. Just wish he hadn't had such an off night against the Ducks!

Don't the Utes get another shot at the Ducks, this year? If not during the season perhaps they'll meet at the Pac-12 tournament. Either way, the Utes prevail in the next outing with the Ducks.

This team continues to improve and I agree with all the posts above...Taylor has vision, smarts, and unselfish play. Wright is the most unselfish superstar in the country and Loverage is a solid and consistent performer who is just getting started. Bachynski (sp) and Olson are a tremendous force in the middle and Lenz is solid.

I can't recall when the Utes were more fun to watch than they are right now. The passing and scoring and defense by these players is phenomenal!!

Keep it up, Utes!!

MyPerspective, no they have only home games against the Oregon schools and only road games against the NorCal schools.

Don't go Crazy Utah fans. Utah is getting better but, it's a long season and OSU is not a good gauge. The Beavers are horrible. After this weeks road trip we should know more. Good Luck.

Why do we think our team is going to the NCAA tourney when our only notable win is against BYU? We beat a team who lost to Choppin St., DePaul, Akron, and Hawaii. We couldn't close it out with Oregon, we're not going to the dance with Arizona, UCLA, Colorado, and the like in the conference. It would take more than a miracle. Let's keep things in perspective. NIT bound! (Better than last year)

Roberto scored 16 in this game--not 5. Brandon held him to 5 in the first half. Still--16 was well below his average.
