Nice win by the Utes. Good to see Taylor step up with Loveridge having a subpar game and after having a rough shooting night against Oregon.
Now go get a couple of road wins!

I was frankly worried if the easy early schedule would ultimately hurt the Utes. When you win against a pick-up team from Joe's Butcher Shop, you only think you're good. After two performances in a row against PAC-12 teams however, it looks like this could be a breakthrough year. Nice going Coach K!

Nice conference win at home!

Good luck with the Washington clubs next week and go make some noise on the road.

Go Utes!

Congrats to the prestigious PAC 12 utes, the best team by far in Utah

Go utes!

Our march madness quest is very much alive! Unlike other local WAC programs.

Turns out playing cupcakes like Katherine community and byu didn't hurt us as bad I was worried in preparation for prestigious PAC 12 play

This Utah team played a fantastic game. Defense is outstanding and they play as a team. As noted in other comments above, the Utes looked extremely sharp with no ill affects from the heart breaking loss Thursday night. Coach K has these guys firing on all cylinders.

The Pac-12 Network analysts stated that the Utes are for real and could lay claim to the top third of the conference. They also said that both Utah and Colorado are paying huge dividends to the conference in basketball while the football programs are developing. Great compliment from our conference network!

Good crowd on hand for the game...well deserved by our Utes.

Go Utes!!

Delon Wright's stat line:

14 points (6/10 FGs), 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks, 0 turnovers.

He's the most well rounded player at Utah since Andre Miller.

As a Utes fan, I am a little concerned this could turn out like our football season.
Play well at the beginning of the year against lesser opponents, and then struggling on the road.
This team has only played 1 game away from the Huntsman Center. Hopefully this young team isn't overcome when they face adversity on the road.
I am cautiously optimistic.

Go Utes!

I was at the game today and I kept telling my husband "I don't think Wright has come out of the game once." Looking at the stat line, I was wrong . . . he only played 39 minutes instead of 40! That is incredible.

All five starters scored in double figures and the defense was great! Fun to be in the Huntsman Center again with an enthusiastic crowd and much improved team.

Great game today. Great crowd in the Huntsman Center. This team is so fun to watch. They have good depth, and they play good team ball. The future is bright on the hill.

What a difference one year can make. Great job by the players and the coaches at Utah. Isn't it fun to watch these guys play true team basketball? It is only going to get better and better. Great job today young Utes.

In so many words, Brad Rock finally came around in his article yesterday and hesitatingly agreed that the weak schedule the Utes played in pre-season was actually some very good (practice) games.

My piano teacher used to say, "...practice makes perfect." My football coach used to say, "...you play as you practice." Good advice from both. Krystosiak was right. He will have the last laugh.

The Utes will be great this year and dominating next season, with their lineup.

I'm glad to see some other players step up and make some baskets. The Utes could have used a couple more guys make some shots on Thursday night. This was a great response to a heartbreaking loss.

I hope this team can take this momentum on the road and get a couple more wins.

Go Utes!

Nice conference win, now need to sweep the Washington schools.

Taylor stepped up huge in the game. Loveridge and Wright are studs, but there really needs to be 3 consistent scoring threats.

Now, let's got get some wins in Washington.

Wright is the best player in the state. The guy is a beast.

Congratulations to the Utes from an Aggie fan. It's good to see this program resurrected, and I hope the Utes can make some noise in the PAC-12. I think we have 4 good teams in the state this year which should make things interesting even though they don't all play each other.

Great to see the Utes making some noise in their conference. I hope they continue to do well. It'll be fun to see them back in post season play. Coach K2 is proving to be a genius with his so called soft OOC schedule to build pride and confidence in his players.

As for Chris B, you can't ever say anything about your team without taking a dig at BYU, can you? Do you have to remind us over and over that you're a member of the prestigious Pac 12? Do you always need to take a swipe at us to make you feel better about yourself? Oh well, I guess if that's what it takes then hate on Mr. B? So sad!!!

While I agree that Delon Wright is the best player in the state right now-and the best JC transfer I've ever seen at the U--Jordan Loveridge and Brandon Taylor are the ones to be most excited about. They are taking ownership of this program and they are going to be impossible for opposing teams to deal with over the next couple of years. Brandon is a vocal, gutty, smart and talented point guard and Jordan is a flat out gamer. Both will be All Pac 12 before it's all said and done. Add solidly mentored and physical big men who seem to get better with every outing and the future is bright on the hill.
