Thank you Kyle for becoming the man you are. You and others like you are the reason I love collegiate sports and especially sports at BYU. We are going to miss having you on the field harassing the opposing offenses. I loved watching all the great plays that you made. You really made it exciting and entertaining to watch BYU football. I am excited to follow your career in the NFL and wish you all the best.

Thank you Kyle. As great as it was watching you make incredible plays on the field, it was an even greater privilege to see you grow and develop as a person. You are a great example of what it means to be a BYU student-athlete, and I wish you all the best in your future career and family pursuits. Like the rest of Cougar nation, I will be following you closely and hoping for your success! Rise and Shout!!

I really believe that KVN would not have turned out to be the player or man he is if he had played anywhere else. BYU turns good men into great men with the school, coaches and the code. My three kids all look back at BYU for the wonderful people they turned out to be.
Thank you KVN for your example and BYU for making good men great!

You are an amazing player and a credit to BYU. You epitomize the highest ethics of the game. From the Ole Miss game to the Hunger Bowl, you were a pleasure to watch.

And some would say the Honor Code impedes a man's natural course and development.

It is clear by this young man's example that he has already secured his future on and off the field. I look forward to seeing him continue on in life with much success. His influence will be undoubtedly significant.

Thank you Kyle for coming to Provo. It's been our honor and pleasure to have you come into our lives.

What a great note KVN, you are not only one of the most talented players to ever put on a BYU uniform but you are also an outstanding young man... Your parents and fiancé and your coaches have to be very proud of the person that you have become over the past 4 years.

I personally look forward to following your NFL career and whatever team you end up on you will already be my favorite player on that team... You are one class act and it is players like you that make it so fun to be a BYU Football Fan... Good luck and may God bless you.

KVN's two touchdowns against SDSU will be watched for years to come and could become as timeless and oft watched as Danny Ainge's coast to coast.

Thanks to KVN. As for me, who did a couple of really stupid things in high school, like getting drunk and throwing up all over the gym during a dance. Didn't have the skills to play in there, just throw up! Not one of my proudest moments. But hearing you tell your story and then watch you grow into the committed man you are helped me not feel so stupid.

Which ever team selects you in the NFL will have a new fan in me. I tend to watch players rather than teams. I hope you make millions and I know you'll continue to be the quality person you are. What a wonderful example you set and how high is that standard for all of us. Oh, there's one more request. I hope you'll come back to BYU frequently so we can continue cheering you on.

I hope you don't mind a fanatical Ute fan wishing you all the best. You were great to watch on the field and there's no question you're the real deal off the field. In your honor allow me to make a rare exception to my sports partisanship and say Go Cougars!

I so appreciate the contributions of KVN and all the guys who don Cougar Blue. You add greatly to my life. I know you gentlemen sacrifice a lot for BYU football. Many of you will carry lingering injuries for the rest of your live. In exchange, however, you receive experiences money can't buy, lifelong friends, an opportunity for a BYU education and my deepest gratitude. Go Cougars! Go Kyle VanNoy! Good luck in your NFL ambitions.

Thanks for the great memories, Kyle. My husband doesn't like to watch football (I'm the football fan in our marriage!), but he has enjoyed watching you play. He kept close track of that #3 on your jersey to see where you sent during a play. You have done an outstanding job as a football player, and an even more outstanding job in maturing into a good man. We both with you all the best in your future in the NFL. As one poster said, don't forget to stay true to what you know to be right when you get into the crazy world of the NFL. And congrats on your engagement. We love you!!

Kyle Van Noy is a great example of what young men can do with their lives. It is refreshing to see athletes like Kyle Van Noy, Spencer Hadley, and Brandon Davies (among others) who make mistakes but are man enough to do what needs to be done to continue at BYU. Thank you for the example you set for thousands and thousands of young and old alike who watch not only what you say, but particularly what you do. You truly do make a difference.

Good luck Kyle we all are going to miss watching you in Saturday's in a BYU uniform, but look forward to seeing you fulfilling your career in the NFL (hopefully with the Steelers or Lions!).

From this Cougar fan, thanks for the past four years!

    Jan. 3, 2014 12:46 p.m.

What a classy letter! Sometimes fans get caught up in wins and losses and forget that there is more to an athlete's life than what happens on Saturday.

I still remember when you signed with BYU out of high school. Then came the issues leading to your suspension. I never thought we would see you playing in Cougar blue.

Clearly you got the last laugh.

Congratulations on a great collegiate career! You have been a wonderful example to all - including my four sons, all of whom love BYU sports. My 14 year-old is particularly fond of the his picture with you at a BYU basketball game you both attended. He asked if he could take one and you willing agreed.

Congratulations on your degree, your opportunity to play in the NFL, and maybe most importantly, your recent engagement to Marissa!

Although you went 0-4 against your rival, as one frequent poster likes to point out, I really don't care. What I do care about is my association with BYU and the opportunity to watch young men, such as yourself, represent BYU and the church in such a wonderful manner.

    Thanks for the memories!

Thank you Kyle. This is a special time to be a Cougar fan, and you have contributed in a significant way to bringing it about. You have epitomized everything I hope BYU athletics will always stand for. I have believed that since early in your career when the TV showed you, after a game, making a bee-line for an opposing coach after being called for a late hit on his quarterback. You obviously wanted to make sure things were right between the two of you. That kind of character and accountability is an example to us all. I hope that I can overcome the mistakes in my life as magnificently as you appear to have overcome yours. Whether you are a 10-year Pro-bowler, or never play a down in the NFL, I will be proud to be a member of the BYU family with you. All the best to you in whatever you do. Tradition. Spirit. Honor. Go Cougars!
