As a Navy veteran, I am well aware of the great things done by the Phillipines during WWII for this country. Dougie was well aware as well and "returned" instead of hopping by. They are a very religious people and are taken for granted by our secular society today. Obviously, we all owe them a note of thanks.

Having lived in the Philippines for 5 1/2 years, they are a resilient people having lived in the crossroads of the east on almost 7,000 islands. We have benefited from knowing them.
