I am a deliberate father. Sometime before they got the idea my time was their property, they learned that I was going to ignore them sometimes. Deliberately. You have to, if you want to get anything done in a day and come out of it with some personal time.

I like this article quite a bit, thank you for sharing it! We need more parents who follow this advice, rather than being drawn down into whatever mess their child(or teen, or young adult) was causing, or who make the same mistake their own children make in thinking that always getting everything that sounds immediately good is a positive thing.
