How on earth does Monument Valley get three sophomores onto the All-State teams?
As for the rest, congratulations to the deserving young men that represented their teams so well.

Congratulations to all the players. Special congrat's to the Duchesne players. Congrat's to Dylan Despain and the Despain family. Followed your boys for years. Excited for you, once again!

Unfortunately every year there are kids who make the team simply because they're the best players on an average to below average team. This is a hard pill to swallow especially when you have really good players on really good teams who never get selected simply because there are so many good player on their team. I know of one team who had a lineman who was a two way starter for two years and because he was on a team that went 21-2 over those two years didn't get selected. He was a lot better football player than probably 1/2 of the first team all-state players his senior year and definitely better than any of the second team and honorable mentions, but was completely left off simply because he was the 7th best player on a great team.
