Love beating our rival!

Love that Utah is part of the Pac 12

Yes, Chris B, you beat your rival in September. Too bad it didn't carry over into the game with Oregon State.

Now you can watch all the bowl games from the comfort of your own sofa.

That PAC 12 is just grand, ain't it, Rico, what with finishing 10th over-all and 5th in the southern division, right where the pundits said you'd finish. Incidentally, Chris, that's what many of us "marked down" at the first of the season. Glad to see we weren't wrong.

Good thing they had colorado to finish up since they could not beat the former cellar dweller WSU, otherwise it would have been a 4-8 season wnich is where they will end up next year.

How's the conference thing working our for you now? WSU is glad you are in the conference so they can have a punching bag rather than being one.

Thank goodness football is over. Too bad basketball will be the same or worse.

Drop one of the oldest and fiercest rivalries in the country... Bad karma! And one less win it appears

Utah needs to learn how to finish. How many games did Utah get out scored in the 4th quarter? They get a comfortable lead, get complaciant, then hold on for the win; or not. Usually not. They almost gave the game away to hapless Colorado on Saturday. Utah needs a QB with a killer instinct. They didn't have that this year. They haven't since Brian Johnson. The secondary and offensive lines also need some work. Oh well, heres to a better season next year. Also, I don't see Utah finishing as low in basketball. The conference is not near as strong in basketball, as it is in football. It was very, very good this year in footaball; 9 teams with 6+ wins. Washington State finished 9 at 6-6; and lost to Auburn by 7 points.

You completely missed the mark, Spokane Ute. It isn't the qb...it's a coaching philosophy. Whittingham turns the game over to the defense instead of using the offense to finish off an opponent. That strategy will not be successful in the Pac-12. Either the strategy changes, or Whittingham will last only one more year.

On a separate topic, I love seeing byu fans yap about Utah's conference. You people are never going to get over it.

@Chris B.

If CU is your rival, why is this the first time I've seen you mention them?

Which team do you really pay attention to?

Agreed, it does fall on the coaching; but the QB position is certainly suspect. Against ASU the offense only needed one, maybe two, first downs to run the clock out and they couldn't get it done. The defense can only be on the field for so long. I'm good with Whittingham coming back, but another sub .500 season and it's time to move on. Thanks for the dialogue.

@ Frozen Chosen "Bottom Feeders...Cellar Dwellers...Best of the Worst..so many clichés to describe the Utes these days".... not to mention BYU's Dadddy

utes had 7 home games and were 4-3
utes has 5 road games and were 1-4 (the 1 being byu)

thank goodness you had more home games this year or it would have been uglier than 5-7

the pac10.2 has to be wondering "WHAT were we thinking?"

Because their fans aren't on every Utah article snipping and boasting like those from an independent mid-major school down south.

Utah played a tough schedule and had a couple of bright spots, beating Stanford and BYU, but after all is said and done, the Utes had two chances, one at home, to beat two fellow PAC 12 bottom dwellers - Oregon State(6-6) and Washington State(6-6) - and simply weren't good enough to get the job done in order to qualify for a bowl.

Utah fans are extremely disingenuous to claim that the six bowl teams BYU beat were nothing but cupcakes, when Utah was incapable of beating two of their own cupcakes.

Enjoy the couch potato bowl because next year could be even worse.

@Stringer Bell
you are kidding right? lol wow really?

No kidding! Yes Really! Case in point!

Must a missed all that non boasting and snipping after Utah won that fluke Stanford game. And every "close" game afterward

As opposed to Utah fans spamming EVERY BYU article?

In fact, it's not uncommon for BYU articles to have half-a-dozen snide comments posted by Utah fans before a single comment has been made by a BYU fan.

@east coast coug, rockwell, scenic view, etc.

Yep, and that never happens by BYU fans on Utah threads. You may want to check your self on that on Guy.

Kind of like BYU's fluke win over Texas, or fluke loss to Utah? BYU fans never boast, especailly you. LOL!

Just because Stringer Bell is spot on, there's no reason to get upset. After all, you two are a couple of the biggest Utah thread trollers. Stay classy Guys!
