Why is the game on Saturday this year? I thought it was supposed to be played Black Friday every year.

And yet another ute defensive player who will join the nfl. They may not be many other coaching staffs better in the nation at putting defensive guys in the nfl

Thanks for all your hard work

Lets go beat our rivals.

Go utes!

Best linebacker in Utah. Hands down

Great player. I wish his daughter and family well. I also wish him the best at making it at the next level and staying healthy during and after his career.

"Colorado (4-7, 1-7) at Utah (4-7, 1-7)

Saturday, noon"

Pathetic.

Unfortunately I don't see him getting drafted, though for sure someone will take a look at him. Too bad. If Utah had one some more games this year, he'd be getting picked up before the end of the 4th round.

clehman, what scouts have you been talking to? Reilly's been moving up teams' draft boards all year. The only problem that scouts find with him is his age. "One"ing games isn't something that factors into the draft status of a linebacker. Sammyg tried making the same argument last year about Star, and it turned out the only thing that hurt his status was not participating in the combine due to a possible health concern. That knocked him from a likely top five pick ALL THE WAY down to number 14, and he's now a leading candidate for DROY.

Right now nfldraftscout has Reilly as the #2 defensive end, #47 overall. Gil Brandt rated him as the #10 senior in this class. Dan Greenspan just wrote an article about him being the next impact 3-4 OLB in the NFL. Mel Kiper said: "Trevor Reilly could end up being the biggest steal...Projected as a top-15 pick by some scouts." So please tell us what inside information you're privy to that would render him undraftable.

Wonderful player. It was a pleasure to watch him play for the Utes. One of the toughest parts about this disappointing season is that we send this great player out without a bowl game chance in his senior campaign. Best of luck in the NFL (where he WILL play without question) and in life.

Best wishes to Trevor and his family. I'm not a Utah fan but I think he is a great, classy player who has played well despite the challenges he has had outside of the arena. And I'm sure he will play in the NFL.

Seriously Chris, you and a majority of Ute nation still haven't really embraced Colorado as your rival. Saying "now lets go beat our rival" in reference to them is so alien and weird (especially you) that you can't even get up for it. I can read it in the posts.

YoU know who your rival will always be Chris. It shows by the fact that more incendiary posts are made to articles about BYU by you than positive posts by actual BYU fans.

It will take many years to undo what a near century old rivalry.

It is what it is dude.

This is a guy Bronco messed up on as a recruit who could have helped BYU a bunch! I wish him well in the NFL and as a dad to a struggling baby. Hang in there, Trevor! It's been a tough year in many ways, but you are a bright spot in the Ute's season!

Sadly, Utah's offense has been so pathetic during Reilly's Utah career, that he will close out his junior and senior seasons with nothing but the couch potato bowl.

Whittingham knows how to coach an defense, but he's obviously clueless when it comes to coaching offense.

I feel badly for reilly. Seems like a great guy and he just got better and better every year while the team he was on got worse and worse. To have to finish his career on two losing bowless teams is a real kick in the gut no doubt. But at least he can watch his younger brother play in a bowl game this year, and probably every year for the remainder of his career.

"Why is the game on Saturday this year? I thought it was supposed to be played Black Friday every year."

Ratings. Playing on Black Friday is a privilege for programs, and games, that actually elicit interest and viewers. This game does neither so it is where it belongs.

Duckhunter, umm no. The times for games may change throughout the season depending on which network is picking them up, but the dates are set well in advance. And with Black Friday games of the caliber of FIU vs. FAU, EMU vs. CMU, Texas State vs. Troy, Ohio U vs. UMass, et al, that kinda shoots down your misguided attempt at a dig into the team you love to hate.

We beat our rivals.

Again!

Duck,

Is it tough knowing your program will go at LEAST 6 years without beating your rivals?

StGtoSLC

Your other dig was misguided as well, as any objective viewer can, and has, remarked on Utah's improvement since year 1. It's just unfortunate for the Utes that their level of progress hasn't been as rapid that of Oregon State, UCLA, ASU, Arizona and WSU.

Umm...no. It was decided before the season ever started that the utah/cu game was unworthy of being shown on Black Friday. Only network games are shown that day, meaningful networks like the big 4 and espn, not little carried ones like the so called pac12 "network". That is the "network" the utah/cu "rivalry" game was relegated to and stuck in the middle of a much more enticing batch of games on real networks. Sorry but you fail. lol

4-5
3-6
2-7

Do those numbers mean anything to you? To the rest of the world that means you are getting progressively worse. Apparently to utah "fans" that indicates "improvement". lol
