@2ferMaybe, but you guys claimed you were different, that you
don't call for your coaches job. We can go back as recently as a couple of
weeks ago to get some examples. There is also the inconvenient fact that utah
"fans" have been claiming whittingham walks on water for the last
several years despite the obvious fact utah has gotten worse every single season
for the last 5 seasons. Take your lumps, you've earned them.
@ Down underReally? Every time BYU loses half of Provo starts
calling for your OC's head. Plus plenty of Coug fans were calling for
Bronco's head during the Riley Nelson era.
Fair weather fans. Gotta love it.
One good thing about being at the bottom of the pac 12 is that they will get a
higher draft pick. Oh yeah, never mind.
Whit needs to go! This is ridiculous, we lost to Washington State c'mon
The QB grew, apparently, but the defense must have shrunk. Although not many
national experts picked Utah to win.
Enough with the whiny excuses. At the half, Washington is stomping
Oregon State 27-0 on the road with their backup quarterback. The PAC
12 is a quarterback-driven league.If Whittingham isn't capable
of stocking his roster with more than one half decent quarterback at a time,
it's time for him to go because the Utes will never be able to climb out of
the PAC 12 basement with the shallow pool of quality quarterbacks the Utes have
had since joining the PAC.
I will give credit for Shulz not completely losing his cool after those two
pick-6 plays. However, his high pass yardage was due to excellent play-calling
on those particular plays, and some poor defense by WSU resulting in several big
plays by Utah. Otherwise, Shulz had some pretty poor throwing mechanics which
caused him to miss plenty of open receivers. Still, Utah has very below average
receivers. You can't win games in the Pac-12 while completing less than 50%
of the passes. And giving your opponent 14 points will cause you to lose most
games. Shulz was a walk-on QB for a reason: he doesn't have Pac-12 talent
(where have we heard that before?) I like his determination, but my guess is
that he is 3rd string next season, if he even makes the team at all.Still, Utah's offense did enough to win the game, and unfortunately the
defense was a horrible disappointment.
Whit has taken this team as far as he can. It's time to move on with a more
progressive coach. Let's start with Shariff. He can't coach. Our
defensive line is solid. Offensive line is pretty good. Safeties and DB's
are embarrassing. Make the move.
Well at least his stats grew. Two completions for TD's. Unfortunately it
was the the wrong team.
