Brighton helped Bingham out by running what looked like a 3-5 chicago bears defense. Beef up the defense line would have helped, make some adjustments a defense. This is why they got blowed over. Brighton will be better next year if they run a 4 or 5 man front line against power house running teams like Bingham and Herriman. Get more meat up front.

Don't copy BYU, da Bears, or Stealers you don't have the personnel.

Bingham has the best O-Line AND D-Line in the state. Undefeated baby!!!

MINER PRIDE!!! Great job Miners! Osa who? Scottie "Superman" Nichols is the best RB in the state!! Bingham's O-line is the most dominant in the state and the #1 defense in the state. Even with Kyle getting knocked out of the game Bingham showed why they are the #1 team and 5A state champions, what a privilege it was to watch this team this year, Congrats to Coach Peck and the staff for a 4th state championship. They left no doubt.

@Pigskinfan, whatever, Bingham is the reason they got blowed over, the better most dominant team won, save the excuses for next year. Coach Peck told the team at the half that leaders and champions don't use excuses, they reach for the star and grab it.

Way to go Miners, Congrats!

Pig Skin: Brighton had 8 guys in the box the entire 2nd half. It could be they didn't put bigger lineman there, because they didn't have big enough lineman to put there. Having to play kids both ways has been an issue for teams going against Bingham all year long. By the 4th qtr, they are spent! Bingham's O Line and consistent running attack just wore Brighton down. That and the face Bingham's O Line was dominating the line of scrimmage. I don't know how many times #72 pulled on that counter trap play and just trucked the tackle coming up the field. Watch the first TD again. He bulldozes that D tackle from Brighton. Great to be a Miner!

I love my Bengals, but we didn't do anything well, we were beat in all phases of the game and the Miners deserve all the praise they get. What a fantastic season of high school football.

Osa who? Scottie "Superman" Nichols.

Osa will be back to dominated the State next year. Play D1 football . Top D1 recruit in 2015 Class.

Nichols last football game was last Saturday. Maybe college Intermurals or Church ball to look forward to. This is the future for undersized prep players.

Osa can come back all he want's. Scottie has a ring!

What Gunner said lol

I'm sure Scottie isn't worried about what you think of him being undersized, he's got the ring and player of the game and ran circles around a D1 player twice! Bingham's D made Osa look one dimensional, he can't make cuts, can't break tackles, he can run straight if he has a huge hole that's it. Imagine what a college D will do to him.

Guys, high school glory only lasts so long, if it doesn't take you somewhere bigger it's just that, High School glory after a few years nobody remembers and nobody cares. Osa is going somewhere bigger, it's just the facts.

Porkpies: Great, when he does come back on and talk about it. Until then, he can enjoy 2nd place!

@ Jarka-rus.

It was a great win for Bingham my hat goes off to them Congrats. Now for the debate issue on who the best RB is in the state, In your opinion it is obviously Scott Nichols, I have to go with the kid down there in Lehi.. So here are the numbers just in rushing between these two

1- Caden Calton Lehi Jr. 10 games played 1954 yards. 7.4 yards/carry 24 rushing TD's 25 total

2- Scott Nichols Bingham Sr. 13 games played 1491 7.6 yrds/carry 19 rushing TD's 22 total TD's
Now hers the kicker

3_ Brandon Farmer Herriman Sr. 11 games played 1,715 yards 8.6 yards/Carry 17 rushing TD's 20 total.

So to sum this up Scott played in more games then Brandon and Caden The eye ball test goes to Caden I have seen these 3 play. And he has a gift just like Scott does. but thats the top 3 RB's in the state of Utah all in the 5A mind you.

Actually Tharef, according to the D News stats, Nichols had 1832 yards and 20 rushing TD's. And he wasn't playing against the likes of 3A Dixie and 4A Spanish fork. I'll give my nod to the kid that put similar numbers up against the best and biggest.

Thats cool I just went with a trusted source Max Preps. Thats all. I'm pretty sure Des News has a pretty good stataticion. Uh Hmm Bonneville Idaho 4A 6-4 ranked 3434 Nationally. So who were the best and biggest Bingham went up against. Jordan Haha 7-6 Alta 5-6 Haha. ok Riverton 8-3 Not the biggest or the best who else ya got Lone Peak 8-5 ok, they handed Bingham a couple of loses in years past who else? Valor and Brighton were the only two teams that had more than 9 wins this season on thier schedule. I hear how Region 3 was the most dominante ya against the ohter three but in reality it stunk. Brighton and Bingham were the only two team with 8 or more wins. So the Biggest and Best doesn't work my friend.

Gunner
South Jordan, UT

So 3 out of the final 4 in 5A came from what region again? The Lehi kid is good. But come on, he was playing against 3A competition. Any of the 5A teams Bingham played would have beat Dixie! That same Riverton team that was so horrible beat Dixie 57-24. That Dixie team beat Lehi 57-28! So yeah, some of the teams Bingham beat weren't great. But they beat 7 of the final 8 teams left in the 5A playoffs!

Gunner
South Jordan, UT

Then lets put it this way. Bigger and Better than anything Lehi played.

jarka-rus

@tharef
No doubt that Lehi kid is good, but please really comparing who Lehi played to Bingham is ridiculous. And Nichols would have gained well over 2500 yds against their schedule c'mon. Murray alone he would have ran for 400-500 yds I'm guessing if he would have been in the game more than a quarter.

tharef

Not once did I compare bingham and Lehis schedule. NOT ONCE. I was comparing RB's not schedules. I refered to the teams that Bingham played in thier region. All I was doing was responding to Gunner on Nichols facing the Best and Bigger teams in Region 3. Ya see, Region 3 teams sucked and if ya try and argue that with me your insane dude. Do you think that 7-6 Jordan team was any good (NO) , what about that 5-6 Alta team and anything outside the top 4 teams in Region 3 are awful so the best and Biggest doesn't work.

jarka-rus

@Pigskinfan
You think with all that D1 prowess he would have won the state championship walking in his sleep and not some undersized kid with only intramural skills. Hmm maybe he isn't all that and a bag of chips.

Gunner
South Jordan, UT

Do you really think Dixie, Spanish Fork,Murray would have beat Jordan, or Alta? That's the point. Just cause those teams weren't great, they were a far sight better than the teams the kid from Lehi played against.
