We knew we could slay the Beast that is East. They were a fearsome sight to
behold, coming in with all those D1 commits with the crazy stats: points scored,
yards gained, margin of victory, etc. The thing that Timpview knew was that
East had always looked impressive coming into RES. Even when we lost to East in
the 2011 semis we felt that, except for some dropped passes, missed tackles and
great plays by the East qb/receiver tandem, we still had a good chance of
playing them close. After beating them last year (with my son at MLB) in the
snow, we felt that we had the right personnel to do it again this year. Nothing
but respect for what East has done, but IMO this Timpview's defense was the
best in the state - IN ANY CLASSIFICATION. We will never know for sure since we
don't get to play Bingham. They rightly deserve the #1 in the state title
because they won all their games, but if we did play . . . . who knows?
@PigSkinFanYou cant just jump on the band wagon of teams. "Run
and Hide" huh? I guess TV did "Lock and Load", they ended up slaying
the beast. My 31-28 prediction I guess wasnt all that bad. Congratulations to Timpview! Another well deserved Championship.
Congratulations to East also, they had a great season and played a heck of a
game. But TV is the Champ!Pig Skin, the Bingham bandwagon leaves
next.I like Bingham to win, but I am pulling for Brighton and the
To East: good team, good season couldn't get it done. but a couple of
comments about the game.at the end of the game the T- birds in Victory
formation, East shows very poor sportsmanship by attacking the linemen at their
ankles, reflects East leadership, from the top down.Champions know how to win or
lose with their heads held high and proud because they represent their
school.Fact is Coach Matich could not win a state championship with a very
good team while coaching at Park City, and so far, cant get it done at East.
With great talent in Park City and East, seems like the coaching has a history
of being a stumbling block to win State. Better luck next year Coach. Congrats to the Timp-View T- Birds on another State Championship! enjoy and
reflect on your season. East, hold your heads up and be great- full for what you
I think Timpview just stopped the 3 headed beast in its tracks
East is a great team. They are solid on the offensive side of the ball.
Timpviews offense is solid as well. They run a different style of offense than
East, but they are solid. I think Defense is where this game is won. And I
think T-View has the better defense. East is going to get their points, there
is no doubt. I just think T-View is going to have more stops. I like T-View in
a close one. Timpview 31 East 28
TV beware of what you ask for. The Beast from the East-"Ula" Metamorphed
to the Three Headed Monster "Ula-Kai-Ton". If you don't Run and
Hide, you better Lock N Load! The end has come.
@Pig Skin Fan - If anyone should run and hide it should be East's offense,
but neither team is the type to run and hide so I'm expecting a great game.
Timpview will be ready. I think it will be a close game where both teams play
hard from start to finish, but I think Timpview will pull it off in the end.
Having faced both of these teams this year I think East will win but it
won't be by much. Timpview is legit defensively and has enough athletes to
stay with East. The question in my mind is how effective with the East defense
be vs Timpview's O? Covey is tough to defend but if the East front seven
can keep him bottled up they should win the game. Can't wait to watch this
Pig Skin Fan, Timpview doesn't run and hide from anyone! I'm sure
coach Whittingham will have them ready to play against East just like he did
last year.I think this will be a close game, but i believe Timpview will come
out on top again. And bring home another championship Trophy. How is Syracuse
doing anyway? oh ya that's right they are at home watching the games on tv.
If they go by number of coaches on the field, east should win. Last week I
counted at least 20, and that was just the men in the blue jackets.
Good Luck stopping the Three Headed Monster "Ula-Kai-Ton" from East
averaging 12 yards per touch. Crazy number for Three RB's on the same team.
We shall see if you are strong top to bottom; I say "Run and Hide, Run and
