Mike Lee's hypocrisy is simply nauseating. His defeat at the next election
cannot come soon enough.
@LDS Liberal, As a DOD contracting officer, I want to acknowldege
the impact that the shutdown had on you and other contractors. There's no
question that as a group you bore the brunt of the economic impact of an
unprincipled temper tantrum, one that Senator Lee was an architect of. His
political attention seeking came at the cost of thousands of people who simply
wanted to exercise their right to go to work and earn an income. Ignore the
nattering nabobs of negativity who consider yor lost income as acceptable
collateral damage, part of $24 billion in economic losses. Compassionate
conservatism continues to elude so many self-styled 'patriots'.
HaHa: Lee can do plenty of "nose thumbing" and probably will as long as
he enjoys a big registration imbalance (in the election itself) and retains the
financial favor of the Koch Brothers/Exxon Mobil/Monsanto/Morgan
"people" vs. a GOP nomination competitor. Did you think this had
something to go with voting for peoples' best interests?
Lee will win in a landslide and will retire at 80 having served as vp, POTUS
and a senator
Lee is the type of person who is your best friend as long as you are a part of
the in crowd or the most popular, When another comes along that seems more
popular, you will find yourself out in the cold! I think Lee over did it. People
caught on and he will have try harder.
By Golly! Why can't Lee just roll over and say, "Yes sir, please
destroy the country!" As has been proven amply, Lee and Cruz were
right--Obamacare is a train wreck of massive proportions. The fact that
he's being blamed for doing whatever he could to stop it is amusing. You people who whine about "The shutdown cost me money!!!!":
Guess what--Obamacare is costing us trillions in coin and untold amounts of loss
of freedoms. If the Left were actually not hellbent on accumulating all power
into a dictatorial state, some of you would realize that. Lee and
Cruz took a stand against the greatest fraud and power grab in American history.
Too bad you guys are blaming them, not the power grabbers.
@hahahahaMike Lee does not represent a plurality of people. He represents
the majority of voters in Utah (as evidenced by his election).
"Although it will be difficult to forgive his (Lee) role in the 16-day
shutdown of the government..."Mike Lee had zero, nil, nada role
in shutting down the government. No Republican had a role. This is more
Democrat/Obama lies. Shutting down the government was the doings of the
Democrat Senator Harry Reid, who refused to consider any bill sent to him be the
House, and Barack Hussein Obama who adamantly insisted on vetoing any bill that
would not fund Obamacare or that would delay its implementation for a year. Now we see that Harry Reid has invoked the so-called 'nuclear
option' where everything in the Senate passes by a simple majority vote
rather than the traditional super majority. This cuts off a filibuster and is
designed to stack the courts and cabinet positions with hardcore Democrats. As
we can see, these guys are moving this country ever closer to their desired goal
of total autocracy. As what happens to people who acquire alotta power,
they've lost their moral compass.
@Res Novae:"There's no question that as a group you bore the
brunt of the economic impact of an unprincipled temper tantrum, one that Senator
Lee was an architect of."Give us a break!! Lee had nothing to do
with the government shut-down. That was the action (or, more correctly,
inaction) Of Barack Hussein Obama who stated he would refuse to sign any
government funding bill that would delay the Obamacare individual mandate for a
year... That, even though he delayed the business mandate for a year."His political attention seeking came at the cost of thousands of people
who simply wanted to exercise their right to go to work and earn an
income."This statement accurately describes exactly what Barack
Hussein Obama did by refusing to sign any of the House's government funding
bills."Ignore the nattering nabobs of negativity who consider
yor lost income as acceptable collateral damage, part of $24 billion in economic
losses."Yes, well... Obamacare will cause economic collateral
damage in the trillions. Keep that in mind.
Senator Lee abandons sinking tea party.
