Mercifully, we only have a couple of games left to endure.

BYU fan spending his time reading Utah articles and jumping on the bandwagon of any team who might have a chance to do what his team can't ever do? Original.

Who's your daddy?

I'm optimistic about Schulz. I thought he played well for having to start his first game on the road at Oregon. The receivers dropped passes that should have been caught.

Lets just hope he can stay healthy the rest of the way so we don't have to burn Manning's redshirt.

GO UTES!

We will win washington and there byu coach by 27!

Go write it down!

We are better than Washington State. Our defense is playing great, and I think after seeing a great Oregon defense, Shulz will be more than able to handle the offense. It may be by 1, it may be by 20, but I GUARANTEE Utah wins out and goes bowling.

Proud of the way the guys just battle every week against the hardest schedule in the entire country.

Go UTES!

Travis, you are a stud and I will miss you at QB. I hope you have a full recovery and get to use the remaining two years of eligibility at Utah.

Utes will own WSU and win 31 - 17.

All the haters had better focus on their own game this weekend. With losses to Virginia (seriously, they are 2 and 8) and Utah (one win in the Pac 12) your only good win was over Texas. So TDS save your breath for next year's pre-season discussion about your national championship. I need a good laugh after this season.

Well, there you have it. A guarantee - in all caps no less - from the #1 (volume of comments) U football fan. I guess that means mark it down?! Too funny

I do have a question though - Does having the 'hardest schedule in the entire country' count as an extra moral victory? If so I think that makes U 7-0 in moral victories, and might just be enough to push you over the edge and into the 1st Annual Moral Victory Bowl, held this December at the new foaming ice bath in East Salt Lake.

@ Chris B.
Utah may very well win out, but Utah in a bowl is highly unlikely.
There are currently 65 Bowl eligible teams with most teams having two games left to play.
The SEC will not fill 1 slot the Pac-12 will finish with 2 extra bowl eligible teams, the Big-12 will finish with 1 open slot, the Big-10 with 1 open slot, the AAC with 1 open slot, the ACC 2 extra teams.
The Sunbelt and MAC will finish with a combined 5 or more extra teams (this is what hurts Utah) and the MWC, CUSA will fill their slots.
So the BCS conferences will have 4 open slots when you add that with BCS at large bids that is 7 open bowls. So out of the 7 open bowls 5 have contracts with the MAC, Sunbelt, and Notre Dame to fill the vacancies.
That leaves 2 open slots the Beef-O-Brady and the Military bowl one played in Florida and one in Washington D.C.
I doubt that two east coast bowls would pick the U over North Carolina, Rutgers, Syracuse, and Pitt, even Arizona and Washington State.
I could be wrong.

Andy, no need to depend on outsiders to provide us laughs. All we need are a few more PAC window stickers and Chrissy B's annual Rose Bowl guarantee and we'll have all the laughs we need.

@BESmart,

Yes, you are wrong. Again. Tell me, how would it feel if Utah got invited to the byu bowl? The bowl committee could likely pick Utah as they know a byu/Utah game would sell tickets, and that's all they care about. Do you guys want another rematch, or would you rather avoid the embarrassment of being the first NCAA team EVER to lose 5 times to their rivals in 4 years?

It would also be funny knowing that in a horrible year for Utah, we went to the exact same bowl that byu would go to, even if they had gone 11-1.

LOL

The College Football Experts agree that Utah is not going to the Fight Hunger Bowl.

I would ask that if you are to claim that I am wrong you post an informed intelligent counter point (with some form of evidence).

Please this would be interesting to see this be accomplished, such an arduous yet easy task.

Utah-BYU would sell tickets, but probably not nearly as many as BYU-Washington or BYU-Arizona.
Also they have to worry about TV ratings and Washington has the 14th + 75th largest tv market. Arizona #12.
ESPN owns the broadcasting rights and makes their money on advertising ESPN will push for a big market team when available.
I would say Utah BYU playing in a bowl game a 1% chance.
As a person who cheers for the Utes realistically I think it is less than a 10% chance they have a bowl.

I would love to see a BYU-Utah rematch.

BYU is the best team in Utah, and this would remove all doubt.

Unfortunately, the utes will be home for the holidays.

WORF- BYU played Utah and they couldn't beat them. BYU has only beat Utah 3 times in a dozen years. In a head to head match-up, Utah is simply better than BYU and probably always will be.

This is one Ute that is happy not to be playing BYU again for awhile. Been there, done that, done that, done that, & done that.

TanMan_101

@Worf

Please try to rationalize to me how BYU is the best team in the state? If only there was a way that those two teams could play during the season to prove who was better.............

Go Utes
