So who is in charge of the home and why were non resident children dead in the home. I think they confiscated the weapons just to take them from the owners as a publicity stunt to imply guns and violence as illegal rights.

This whole thing sounds like a coverup for someone or a government agency. How they died is not important, why they died is the question they are hiding. If it was not gunshots that killed them then it should be an obvious comment for police to be offering.

Were the children in the home left unattended? Is this a half way house run by the state to hold juvenile offenders or what? This game is becoming a publicity campaign for someone and a disgrace to the department. The children should be talking, its the first step in overcoming shock and emotional stress in the home so why are they being gagged?

@My2Cents - Dial it back a notch... The police are trying to be thorough and this is hardly becoming "a disgrace to the department." Give the police time to do their job effectively so that when/if the time comes to file charges, they're file against the right person/people.

It's no secret that they died from the gunshot wounds, police are simply trying to determine who pulled the trigger.

Based on what has been reported, only the teens were in the house, and since two of the three teens that weren't killed lived in the home, it's probably safe to assume that the other boys were their friends. And I'd hardly call it "unattended" leaving a 14- and 16-year-old at home alone...

The public needs to let the police do their job and release information as they confirm it and not lend to further public speculation... It doesn't do anyone any good to have people making assumptions.

How is taking weapons away after two kids died a publicity stunt? Which mystery person/government agency are they covering up for here? And really? A half-way house in DAYBREAK? Yeah I don't think so. Troll award!

I am surprised that they didn't question the kids right away, I thought it was protocol to ask questions when the incident is fresh in their minds. Seems like letting them have time to process etc will just make the incident foggy. Unless the cops know what happened but aren't releasing anything until they gather all the information.

Either way, I feel for all the families involved here. It's a tragic reminder for people to make sure their guns are safely and securely stored, especially when they aren't home and there are children in the house!
