My heart breaks over this situation.
School Bus Drivers are the first educational contact of the day and the last of the day for our children and grandchildren.
They are the first smile and hello of the day. Every driver carries our children, the most precious part of our lives to and from school everyday and they, for the most part, do it for the love of the job. Most do not receive medical benefits or for that matter any benefits.
Their hours are kept under 30 hours a week. They receive slave labor pay and still smile and love our kids.
School Bus Drivers are the crown jewel in the crown of education and in most Districts are treated poorly.
My heart goes out to this Drivers Family as well as his work Family.
May God Bless you all and help your hearts mend over such a horrible loss.

What a pity this man forfeited his life because of a mechanical failure on another vehicle. Condolences to his family and associates.

I hope that the JSD will provide some kind of compensation through auto or school district insurance. I'm with owlmaster2, we have two kids who take a bus in the JSD and I am a grateful parent who loves our busdrivers who do everything to keep our kids happy, comfortable and safe! Condolences to his family.
