Kyle is starting to feel the pressure of another down season. In the end, I think he is a terrific coach and hope he remains at Utah, and yes, I am a BYU fan.

I think he's an excellent coach, which is why I hope Hill gets pressured to fire him. I'm sick of my cougars being out coached by the man.

The PAC-12 has clearly been a disaster for Utah. They are in completely over their head.

As a BYU fan I respect and admire Coach Whittingham. It may take a couple of years but I believe he is just the man to build a very strong Ute program in the Pac12.

I'm not sure how a purely horrible offense again this year makes them better than last but I guess when you are fearful of losing your job one might say anything to draw attention away from your w-l record. Keep up the distraction and keep telling the fans that utah is loaded with top tier qb's, will compete for the rose bowl, etc.

BYU fans - respect your opinion. Was the 2013 Utah team better than the Utah team? Both beat the cougars but the 2012 score was closer (However, you did get three tries at the end)

Almost all PAC-12 scores have been closer in 2013. Also in 2013 we defeated Stanford (ranked #5); overtime with ranked Oregon State; should have/could have defeated ranked Arizona State (in 2012 lost by some 30 points); lost to ranked UCLA by a touchdown;

Despite playing the toughest schedule thus far (and our record reflecting this) by almost all measures this years Utah team is better than last years! "But wait"... next years schedule is tougher than this one!)

The article mentions the close loses that could've gone either way that the Utes had this season, but fails to mention the close wins they had that also could've gone either way. Things have a way of balancing out.

That said, it's still very possible to go bowling this season with wins over the 2 teams not called Oregon.

I admire the team's close family-like cohesiveness in spite of the recent challenges and setbacks they've gone through.

UteNationAlum,

I beg to differ with your opinion. The Cougars would not be 1-8 right now. In no way do I think the Cougs would be a contender but they would not be the doormat of the conference. With the U's schedule I think BYU would have beat Utah State, Weber State, Arizona, USC, Colorado & Washington State. They would lose to Oregon, Stanford, and Utah (The U does have their number). I think home games against UCLA and Oregon State would be a toss up.

1-5 in the PAC 12 three years in? Whit needs to go. We are well on our way to becoming the new Arizona (in fact, we can't even beat Arizona).

At least we have basketball to look forward to...oh wait.
