Why is he being so obstinate? How does he explain away the video of him and his angst about leaving a "paper trail" that would incriminate him?
How and why did monies received by him get transferred to his wife's account?
How and why did mails and recordings disappear from ALL of his devices at the same time?
How and why did nobody ELSE at his office lose any documents?

This is NOT a witch hunt, Mr. AG.
The committee did not stumble upon your humble self and start an investigation for the heck of it.

There was enough smoke and reason for such an investigation to be initiated through the proper and legal channels.

The Governor himself, along with all the taxpayers in this state are questioning your honesty and behavior.

Does he have any friends? He needs someone he trusts to tell him to stop yakking.
He needs someone he trusts to tell him that this isn';t going away without answers.
He needs someone he trusts to tell him he loks absolutely awful in our and the world's eyes.

It is we should be angry.

We saw the video where he expressed angst over the fact that an incriminating paper trail might exist to his detriment.

That is the tip of this iceberg.

The committee didn't just wander in off the street to randomly assess his dealings.
There was enough impropriety to justify this very serious investigation, which he is dismissing as frivolous.
Sorry...this is not a witch hunt...this is an investigation into criminal activity, sorry to report.

No reason to get upset over the investigation, he must continue to cooperate, his integrity and trust is on the line. This will cost us-taxpayers a pretty dime-but it must be completed to keep our judicial system remain trustworthy.

But I will say this, I think it's a virtual impossibility that a bright intelligent attorney being investigated could “accidently” loose vital information on an office computer, Office Laptop, Home Computer, Cellphone and PDA, all at the same time.

Asked if he deleted any emails or computer files that would be relevant to any investigation, Swallow said, "Absolutely not, categorically."
categorically? Sounds like he’s speaking Lawyerish Weasleese to me.

Mr. Swallow,
Those “personal” e-mails you deleted is precisely what the investigators are trying to investigate. And YOU know it.
You know - a “personal” vacation to California, a “personal” boat, a “personal” time-share, a “personal” favor, a “personal” kick-back, etc.

What’s clearly disingenuous and a disservice to the people of Utah, to the taxpayers of Utah, etc. is AG John Swallow’s stonewalling of this committee, the numerous appearances of impropriety, the obvious tampering of vital evidence, and “categorical” denials, etc.

If I sound a little angry, JOHN, it's because I am.

@ brightness.

His integrity and trust are long gone.

Uhoh. Now Swallow is angry? What's he going to do, storm off to another extorted vacation? Extort more campaign donations to not prosecute his buddies? Maybe he is so angry he will resign. One can make a wish list for Christmas.

Please Mr. Swallow, just resign. You have lost all faith and trust by the people of Utah.

And the kicker is that today, Swallow intimated that this is politically motivated.

Mr. Swallow...They don't care if you're republican Democrat, Whig, or Tory..
This is a CRIMINAL investigation.

They are trying to determine if you are a criminal.

Oh,come on, Mr. Swallow, give it up. Time to go home.

Agreed.

So then,
If he's the Attorney General of the State of Utah,
and if he thinks someone is doing something wrong,
shouldn't HE be launching his own investigation into the matter?
