Much love to the Asiata family. Tragic time for them all.

Springville, UT

Hooray! I'm sure glad that excuse is now 'officially' over! We've been on needles and pins for over a week.

So if the Utes lose this weekend and this hand excuse comes up again...

Well, you know how the story goes.

Tragic circumstance for the Asiata family...Prayers.

Great news about Wilson. We need Westlee back asap and the RB's need to step it up a couple of notches. Go Utes.

Utah always has done great after a BYE week under Coach Witt. The state of Utah needs Arizona State to lose!!

When has the hand been used as an excuse. Every interview I've seen has mentioned that Wilson's hand has been injured but both Whit and Wilson have said it was no excuse. Can't wait to watch a healthy Wilson step it up this week though.

No, BYU needs Utah to beat Arizona State to help with the computer numbers. USU also needs the Utes to win for the same reason. Utah can lose to its heart's content the next two years because its performance will then have no bearing on USU or BYU.

"The state of Utah needs Arizona State to lose!!"

The State of Utah is going to be VERY disappointed.

Can't wait to hear the spin on Sunday morning after the Sun Devils trounce he utes 53-3.

Utefan4lyf-- Perhaps they should have used it as an excuse to hold him out of games and let it heal. Should have learned from BYU playing Nelson last year with a broken back. Even a mediocre backup playing 100% is better than a starter at 60%.

Gone fishin,

I've already heard one ute fan praying for a blizzard. LOL. Can't win on their own talent, have to hope for some type of equalizing storm to accommodate their inability to play.

Remember when Utah had no chance to beat Stanford?

Stanford and BYU both considered the utes as easy wins so didn't bring their A games. The 4-4 records proves that out.

Remember how Utah had every chance to beat Arizona and USC this year?

Remember how Utah had every chance to beat a 1 and 10 Colorado team to go to the Pac 12 championship game?

Remember how Utah's only notable win for the last three years (until they got lucky that Stanford overlooked them) was their annual bowl game against BYU?

Remember how no one has Utah picked to go to a bowl game this year?

Remember how Utah didn't go to a bowl game last year?

Yeah...I remember. And so will ASU. they're motivated and will take an easy one from Utah.

@souptwins: I agree completely. Schultz was probably the better choice for the AZ and ASC games with Wilson injured. Giving him the majority of snaps those weeks would have been very beneficial. I'm not saying it guarantees wins, but they wouldn't have been worse.

Good luck to Utah this week. I think they have the talent to beat a very good Arizona State Team. Eliminate the turnovers and they have been in every game they played this year. Wilson is a good quarterback. He is a sophomore and still has some growing to do. I expect him to rebound from his interceptions. Utah is at home and their fans always give them a boost. I would not be surprised to see them win this game, but I imagine it will be close if they do because Arizona State appears to be very good.

@Chris B. I am still waiting to hear the BYU fight song on You Tube as you promised... Please let me know when you have it posted. :)

OK, Wilson and Hill are both sophomores, Let's look to see where each stands midway through the season. Wilson started out on fire and Hill started out very slow. Where are they now? Hall is 6th in the nation in total offense and Hill is....well we won't go to the bottom of the list but it is not good.
I love my independent membership and the chance to play on National TV every week.

So glad to hear Wilson's hand is healed. A healthy Travis gives Utah a fighting chance. So tired of ASU dominating Utah. Hopefully it doesn't happen again. Utah's defense has improved dramatically against read option QB's. Trevor Reilly is the key to that. No turnovers and move the ball Utah might have a chance.

Going to be a fun sunny day at RES! Can't Wait!

Excuse me if I am a little skeptical, but haven't we heard this "Wilson will be OK and 100%" before? Like against Arizona and USC? Personally I hope he is OK, but I'll believe it when I see it this time.
