This author forgot to add school loans that have to be paid back after the student graduates. Young people seem to think they will pay it all back "when we are rich" and continue to live with extras (going out to restaurants to eat, buying nice clothes, paying for entertainment, the latest technology, and anything they desire). They max out school loans to live their comfortable life style. They have a great awakening coming when they graduate.

I am all for getting the most education possible, and education is worth going into some debt for. However, along the way, students must make sacrifices in areas that they may never have had to before. This is something that is very hard for students in todays entitlement culture. Many lack self-discipline and the ability to deny themselves of anything.
