OLympus in a close battle, they looked past a good Corner Canyon team and got
bit, other than that the Titans are pretty solid.
I am with Domer on this one Oly 34, Springville 10
If one Eagle is going to post on this thread, so will this Eagle....I agree 100% with goldendomer, I can taste the vomit in my mouth, but here it
@Goldendomer - that is the sweetest rivalry in the state isn't it? Olympus
will take your well wishes, even if it is for this one time. I like your
prediction, hopefully they can play up to it.
As much as the devastating loss last week to our rival the Titans hurts this
Eagle has to admit they were the better team. Coach Whitehead has done a
spectacular job with the team to the west. They were a classy bunch of guys and
to be honest, they reminded me of the Skyline teams of the 90's. They came
to our field, did their work and went home with the ROCK, again. It is clear to
see that Coach Whitehead learned much as a player for the Eagles. This has never happened before and it will probably never happen again but
this Eagle wishes the Titans and their fans the best of luck in their play off
run.Oly 31 Springville 7
@wiseacre. Have to admit... Very impressive stats! However, that's expected
when you only face 2 opponents with a winning record... And your opponents
combined won/loss record is 33-54. As opposed to 5 opponents with a winning
record and an opponent won/loss of 59-41. I don't expect either team to
make it to RES, but do think that OLY is a bit overrated and SPV is a bit
underrated. Both have had a good year... Too bad they have to face each other so
early as opposed to beating up on a less deserving opponent in round 1.
@Hawaii football fan - not sold on your thought of Springville having too much
speed out of backfield - Olympus is all about speed(offense and defense).
Olympus has a three headed monster in the backfield, you have a 1000, 500 and
400 yd rushing attack. You try to stop one they'll go to the other. Stop
the run with front Springville front 7, Olympus goes over the top to two 6-3
receivers or underneath on short routes. Olympus is one of the top scoring
offenses and defenses in 4a. I think Olympus has too many weapons on both side
of ball - I'll stick with @Pig Skin Fan's projection.
Springville front 7 shuts down Olympus running game. Too much speed out of the
backfield, receiving, and special teams. Already beat the only team that beat
Olympus (Corner Canyon). Springville by 10.
@pig skin fan I agree!
Olympus running back too much for Springville. Olympus wins by a TD.
