Looks to me like they will be lucky to win 20 games!

Once again, I have to visit another website to get the game stats. Desnews is such a fail.

Morgan, you are right. Even if the Jazz gets its defense right, there is no scoring leader. I am tired of all of the Hayward talk to see him only put up 15 points.

It appears the Jazz hierarchy are not going to show Corbin the door just yet....I have faith, however, that they will remedy that situation in due time. Ty may be a wonderful person, but his coaching is much like his playing was....mediocre.

There's another matter I'm not happy with....They engaged John Lucas III to be the "veteran" to school Trey Burke....My question is, "Veteran of what?"....The only place I'd say he was a veteran would be in air travel...Wikipedia lists 12-14 teams he has been associated with over his career....and he hasn't stuck with any of them.....Is that how we are to define "veteran"? Last night I determined to ignore Corbin and concentrate on Lucas.....He dribbles too much ...He's a mediocre passer, and a poor defender. He's living on his father's reputation.

If we set a record for the lowest FG% in season maybe they will give us a few more pingpong balls in the draft to get Wiggins?

Heaven knows we will deserve it if this shooting continues very long into the season.

Make no mistake, this is going to be a long ugly season with lots of frustration. There really just isn't anyone on this roster that is going to consistently deliver on the court each game. It is going to be like jekyll and hyde all season long.

The Millers refuse to get Jimmer. I wonder why?

The commentators last night said that outside shooting is their missing component. They could get Jimmer cheaply and put him in for strategic shooting.

Yeah, they say he's not a defensive gem, but neither are the Jazz guards.

The Millers are Ute fans?

With the first pick in the 2014 NBA draft, the Utah Jazz select, Andrew Wiggins, University of Kansas

Jim,

There are average defenders, such as the Jazz guards. And then there are liabilities on defense, such as the Jimmer.

If the NBA ever allowed teams to switch every single change of possession, I see Jimmer sticking with a team. But since that wont ever happen, there is a great Euro future for Jimmer, where defense is optional

They had a great lead early, that lost it quickly. They had a chance to catch up in the last minutes, but no plan but run and gun. That resulted in a lot of missed shots. Hard to watch.

Hopefully Jazz fans will keep in mind what they were saying all summer. This year is about growth and development with the strategic ability to add needed pieces to the mix going forward. We are in a great position to evaluate what we have without expectations to be a playoff team this year. Next year with great draft picks and tons of cash we can fill in what weaknesses we discover this season. There will likely be a lot of ugly games but I like our ability to rebuild. Hold on to your hats Jazz fans because it will be a crazy ride.

The worst WL record in the history of the franchise in UTAH (1979-80 24-58) as well as NO (1974-75 23-59) will be seriously challenged by the JAZZ this season.

Challenge the worst win/loss Jazz season ever? That's possible but I think the biggest weakness for the Jazz is you have a bunch of young guys that haven't played a lot together. That said, these young guys have talent and I think they will improve as the season goes along. I think from the start of the season to the end of the season the Jazz will be the team with the most improvement. Still not enough to make the playoffs, but they will get better.

I'll bet it's not "seriously challenged" but the JAZZ win either way. I think this is at least a 30 win team this year, but I'm almost rooting for worse. You have to be blind if you can't see the young, undeveloped talent on this team. As long as they consistently compete and are increasingly fundamentally sound, I hope this team loses a majority of close games. Draft well and be smart in FA, then, the next 5 years get very exciting
