One of the dumbest things Utah's Republicans ever did was to drop one of the smartest, most distinguished and honest members in Congress, Senator Bob Bennett.

I like your passion, but a short lesson in civics:

The Senate is PART of Congress. It's not the Senators and the Congressmen, it's Senators and Representatives. The House and the Senate make up Congress.

Oh, don't you just love the Republican hate for their own party? Gotta love the Tea Party and their dismembering of the Republican party.

I totally support Sen. Lee. He is providing very need leadership to reform our government and to save our republic from career politicians like Orrin Hatch. It's time for Hatch to retire to St. George. The Tea Party is here to stay, and the GOP can either accept that fact or go the way of the Whigs and the Bull Moose Party.

"Hatch said, Republicans are all opposed to Obamacare."

Really? To coin a phrase, Mr. Hatch, "What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear a word you are saying." In other words, you have done absolutely nothing to convince me that you are opposed to Obamacare. Time for you to go. You are just another RINO.

Finally we have a politician that is willing to do what he said he would do. Unfortunately we have other politicians that want to "get along" which means give in to the progressive agenda. The sad thing is that if Orin Hatch and others had stood up in support of Senator Lee then we would have won. Typical Washington junkie. Its the others that need rehabilitation and not him.

Don't worry Mr. Lee. In a month or two when the people realize you were right all along, Orrin Hatch will be in front of he first media mike he can find and say he knew it all the time. Not "dumpable" !!!! He is so nervous that he has stayed hidden since the election.

Yes make Sen Lee just like you. Go along to get along. Alot of us want someone to attack the status quo. Stay just the way you are Sen. Lee.

Lee raised the whole issue of delaying the implementation of Obamacare for individuals BECAUSE Obama had unilaterally (and illegally) delayed its implementation for big business. Lee wanted to delay it for everyone. The White House and democrats shut down the government because it was "the law" and they wanted a "clean" resolution without delaying it. NOW, after republications cave, and the roll out is a disaster, the white house is open to delaying Obamacare. Looks like Obama himself will rehabilitate Lee's reputation - he was right all along! I predict a delay will occur, and the press will not connect the dots but will praise Obaama for being pragmatic.

Ironically, it is senators like Hatch who have made senators like Lee necessary.

Rehabilitated?! Try resignation or retirement. Not Mr. Lee who with Senator Cruz are the ONLY two people who seem to grasp the situation this country is in. No I'm referring to Mr. Hatch. Most if not all the event's leading up to this moment happened on his watch. The Democrats have figured out that times are changing, they have developed a good playbook and are using it quite effectively. On the other side of the aisle we have Mr. Hatch and Mr. McConnell and many others like them who haven't figured out that it's a new age an things have changed. They readily endorse people like Jeff Flake of Arizona who are as ineffective as them. This only serves to perpetuate the problem, not solve it. Lee and Cruz have figured it out. When the linebackers on the other team get nasty, then get nasty right back. Hatch and others are still sitting in the corner of the sand box singing "Why Can't We Be Friends."

The time for group hugs and hand holding are over. We are trillions in debt. Time to retire and let someone with internal fortitude take over.

Orrin Hatch just lost my support. There is no room for our Constitution and Progressive Socialists masquerading in Republican form.

This story shows clearly the basis for all our problems in America. It is 2013 and the big concern Orrin Hatch has toward Mike Lee is that Lee may have hurt his re-election chances in 2016. Hatch is not worried about the abomination of Obamacare, or the $17,000,000,000,000 national debt, or the fact that our economy is still unstable with no improvement on the horizon. No, Orrin Hatch with his 36 years in Washington is chastising Lee because he may have hurt his re-election chances.

Senator Mike Lee is trying to halt this epidemic of out of control spending in Washington and it is the old guard of the republican party like Mr. Hatch, that for the last 30 plus years have been driving the monkey to the airport!

Hatch thinks it is reasonable to rack up $16, 000, 000, 000, 000 in debt while he has been in the Senate. We need some extremists who are not willing to steal our children's future to get reelected. Hatch needs to resign.

Sen. Hatch makes me feel shamed / embarrassed by voting for him last election.
We are in this mess because of him and his like. It will not happen again

I don't agree with Lee or President Obama, but what especially infuriates me are leaders like Senators Hatch, McCain and Reid who sat on their hands for the past 25 years while health care costs spiraled out of control. Though diametrically opposed, The Tea Party and the Obama Administration are trying to fix something they were handed.

Hatch has been there too long. He goes along to get along. Time ti ride into the sunset and evaluate what you have become Orrin.

Hatch wouldn't know what standing for a principle was if it drove over him.

Just because you lose doesn't mean you just go along and agree. So what is his strategy? Lee at least tried something. Obviously Hatch has no plans to make a stand or take a chance to get something changed.

Go along to get along is why we have the mess we do D.C..

Hatch is part of the problem and never will be part of any solution.

All these old dudes have made a career of bartering away our freedoms and liberty and piling up mountains of debt on us while they have done it.

Vote them all out (both parties) every election until they get the message they are on a short leash and truly answer to us.

What a concept.

To those who are ignorant of the of the law, and rely on Obama’s Pragda and drink the cool aid stating that the government would default, doesn’t know the 14th amendment . “The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned”.
The government is taking in more money than ever before;Obama intent to use the additional Funds is not to pay the current debt but for new obligations! Obama Care and other left wing agenda items such as Funding the Muslim brotherhood, the organization who partnered in the murdered Egypt’s Pres. Sadat because he made peace with Israel,
That's the naked truth what the debt ceiling issue is truly about The left wing media just quotes the Whitehouse talking points not researching to see what is the real truth. What Hatch and other are not stating what is going to happen when the debt is so large bank accounts, Social Security, federal pension funds will be worthless as the currency will inflate into worthless paper.
