So I get the ask the same questions I have been asking from the beginning. Does a fare for Trax work on the S-Line? Apparently, the fare will be the same for either Trax or the S-Line, but there is still no information as to whether or not the fare on the S-Line is good in Trax or UTA buses, and vice-versa.

Why is this important? Because funding for UTA and funding for S-Line come from two different sources. UTA is funded, for the most part, by a percentage of the sales tax dollars in 6 counties. Salt Lake's S-Line, and future street cars, are not a part of UTA and are supposed to be funded by Salt Lake City (RDA). UTA is contracted to operate the S-Line. You cannot co-mingle government funds. UTA's system for tracking ridership is terribly flawed.

Then there is the issue of the source of funding for the construction of the S-Line. It came from the feds through SLC, not UTA. There are serious financial accounting concerns that clearly show that UTA is not paying for Salt Lake City's street car financial responsibilities.
