First of all, Obama has no authority to delay any law! He had no authority to alter Obamacare and pass out waivers to his buddies but he did it anyway! With Obama in the White House, we don't need a congress! Obama has made the constitutional balance of power null and void. No one elected him to be King or emperor but he is anyway.

"The government will take from the 'haves' and give to the 'have nots.' Both have lost their freedom.
Those who 'have' lost their freedom to give voluntarily of their own free will and in the way they desire.
Those who 'have not,' lost their freedom because they did not earn what they received. They got 'something for nothing,' and they will neither appreciate the gift nor the giver of the gift."

I don't want the Legislative Branch, the Executive Branch, or the Judicial Branch forced onto the PPACA I want everyone who needs health insurance added to their healthcare system. 15% of our population added to their system of 3 million plus employees would have been much easier to set up. Their open season starts November 15 and the electronic sign up system has been tried for years. A few more servers at OPM instead of an entirely new hardware, software, peopleware setup would have been much easier than this new bureaucratic nightmare that Reid, Pelosi, and Obama told Sebelius to set up from a standing start speaks for itself. Add the thousand of people to OPM which has been administering a worldwide health care system for years. Wouldn't you trust a group who has kept the increases below 4% annually over the IRS. The IRS people use the OPM healthcare system. I don't see anyone at OPM signing to join the IRSs PPACA system

Now that Obama has "fixed" our healthcare, we REALLY need healthcare reform even more than we did in 2008.

Atl, do you realize you quoted Rahm Emanuel, a Democrat, when you talk about never letting a crisis go to waste. Your comment is a classic example of liberals blaming Republicans even though it's the Libs that said it or caused the crisis.

Classic & laughable.

President Obama, "Precisely because the product is good, I want the cash registers to work; I want the checkout lines to be smooth,"

And that sums up how he views the unaffordable health care act, as a way to fill his (and the democrats) cash registers. It is all about profits. It has NOTHING to do with affordable health care for people.

He probably knew it was so unready that it would have to be delayed, but he didn't want the republicans to have any measure of perceived insight, so he shut the government down and blamed the republicans.

Can't get much lower, and still 40% worship him. I can't imagine why.

I've worked the coveredca website (which is working and does allow you to do "what-if" stuff) searching for "affordable". I haven't found it. The working poor would be financially better off if you just left them alone because of the deductibles and copays -- which they can't afford anyway. But nooooo -- they gotta pay *something* to the system anyway.

Something I am really struggling with: I have insurance that is Obamacare compliant. It was just confirmed that my family can continue next year -- with a $40 premium increase and a $20/$40 (generic/patented) Rx copay. The point of confusion is that "the pool" I'm in is much smaller (thousands) than the government's pool (millions). Why -O-why is the government option soooo much more expensive?

You're right, nobody gets a freebie from Obamacare. In fact, many if not most will be paying more, in some cases much more for this mess, and be getting less coverage than thay had before Obamacare. Obama said so many things to sell it that just are not true. Why should any decent American respect that or want this program when it was sold to us on lies and misinformation. It was devised by politicians, not doctors, and will be run by the faceless buracrats thousands of miles away in Washington D.C. Most of them sitting at their desks with derby hats on and green apples in their mouths.

you mean when the MSM says, “the Affordable Car Act, also known as Obamacare” they are using it derisively? Granted, most of the people who actually know what’s going use the term derisively, but the uninformed obamafiles also commonly use the term.

You are saying Utah Girl is lying when she talks about how she and others in her family have lost their jobs as a result of obamacare?

And subsidies aren’t free? Where do you get THAT idea?

To "marxist" you realize that before the ACA 80% of americans liked their insurance. That is more than the number of people that liked the President or Congress. If we can keep the President when he is liked by less than 80%, then we should have kept the system going that 80% of the people liked.

To "atl134" the idea of never letting a good crisis go to waste, that was spoken by DEMOCRAT Rahm Emanuel when he was the WH spokesman. That is what the DEMOCRATS are doing. Remember how urgently we had to pass the ACA, so urgently that Congress didn't have time to read all of it.

Did you see that in Kentucky that insurance rates have INCREASED? For that average family the cost of insurance has gone up by 122%. Since when is doubling the cost of something good? See "Health Care Reform Premium Impact in Kentucky" at Wellpoint

re:atl134

Have you checked out the sugary little promo videos for Obamacare lately? It shows a couple of young kids sailing through the web app screens with no problem and then you see the actual premium of $50 a month. That isn't free but it is close to it. I would say a premium under 50 a month is pretty much free compared to the $900 a month millions of Americans are being forced into via the exchanges. Wouldn't you? People - very middle to lower middle class - are being FORCED off their current insurance and onto Obamacare and when they finally do get a quote from the state exchange they see the sticker shock of a premium that has gone up 2-3 times. The Demorcrats current talking points say that people should be 'grateful' that Obamacare is moving them off their bad policy and onto a much better policy and of course much much more expensive too. Problem is people DON'T want all the bells and whistles - but they have NO CHOICE! People want the LOWER price but that isn't an option for them...under Obamacare. Whatever happened to liberals championing choice???
