OK so let me be clear-we are celebrating the firing of teachers based on student test scores!!! Really??? DC's system has been fraught with problems. I prefer citizens who are critical thinkers, articulate, collaborators, and well-rounded.
I also believe that teachers should be celebrated. Evaluation systems should IMPROVE instruction not be measured as successful by the number of teachers who are let go.
DN why not publish and celebrate teachers not practices which are failing our students and public education.
