I'm a BYU fan but that was a great win for UTAH . I think they will win more games this year than a lot of folks predicated with a tough schedule. If some of their opponets don't come to play they will find them selves in the same boat as Stanford.

    Worf:

When are you going to tell us that Stanford earned more chances to score than Utah? Apparently, that is another made-up important stat now in Utah County.

    Steeleute:

Everything Mildred In Filmore says is TIC. It is intended on making fun of the byU "fan".

    Go Utes!!

On to another Conference of Champions foe!

Interesting question. But who isn't looking forward to the Desperation Independence Pillow Fight between BYU and Idaho State next month?

Worf, when does your team team play Utah, Stanford or Oregon next?

It 's entertaining to see all the BYU fans try to take credit away from Utah for their win. You're just mad Utah will have, by far, the best win of the in-state teams this year.

    Mildred in Filmore:
No it wasn't, when was the last time Texas made any big noise? Not to mention Ole Miss smashed Texas at their own place a week after the BYU game. Stanford has been to a BCS bowl 3 years in a row

worf: Stanford is not overrated. They are a program that has been to a BCS bowl game 3 years in a row while going 2-1 in those games.

"The win got the Utes a commitment from Dacorius Law, a running back out of Haines City Florida."

ESPN gave him four stars. He has several offers from power conference team, including Ole Miss, Michigan State and Ohio State.

    Go Utes!!

Who will take the worse beating from Oregon?

    Stanford or Utah.

SC fan here to eat crow,

I did not think Utah could play a clean enough game to unseat the Cardinal. I was wrong...Great game plan by the Ute coaches and great execution by the players. Nate Orchard is another legit D-Lineman out of Utah and will likely be a high draft pick when he decides to leave. Travis Wilson is getting better every week, and Dres Anderson is impressive at WR. Now we will see what U can do on the road. Arizona should be another win before heading down to face my Trojans who appear to be putting things together after a slow start.

Good luck in your remaining games except 1!

    Fight On!

Houston is over rated as well. Who have they beaten?

I just read that Law held an offer from Ohio State, among many others.

Not sure why Cougar fans are critical of Utah's win. Wouldn't you rather be known as the team that lost to the team that beat #5 Stanford?

That sounds a lot better than "the team that lost to the team that lost to the team that lost to Eastern Washington".

Stanford play calling was a joke, run two straight plays that gain 4 yards a pop, then throw two incompletions and lose the game, if you claim to be a smash mouth top 5 team then prove it when the game is on the line with 4th and 2 inside the 5 yd line, psssh soft and weak

Savor this, Utes! Keep the machine rolling over the likes of Zona, SC, WSU, and Colorado. I'm really liking your chances in the ASU game at home, and a complete team effort will give you guys a legitimate chance against the Ducks!

    Go Utes!

    Chris B,
Great win by Utah! When you predict a win every week you are going to be right 50 percent of the time!!! I will continue to watch and see how they do the rest of the season!!! Six games left and you have the same record as the TDS!!! Good luck the rest of the way!!!

    Go BYU beat Houston!!!

The team should savor the victory by all means...but now it's time to get over it and prepare for Arizona. A lot of the good done by the win over Stanford will be undone if they lose to AZ. One thing I've learned watching the PAC 12 over the last few years is that any team can beat any other team any given day. It's not like the MWC where there were 6 automatic wins on the schedule because the top teams were several steps above the bottom teams. The PAC is tough top to bottom.

I once heard a famous pro athlete say the key to success is to not get too high when you win and not get too low when you lose. You're usually not as good as your biggest win (Stanford) and not as bad as your worst loss (Oregon St.). So it's time to get humble, forget about Stanford, and put in a good week's work to get ready for AZ.

    Monster victory.

I called the Stanford/Oregon split before the season and everyone laughed.

I also called wins over byU and usu.

I also called an 8-4 season.

    Who's laughing now?

    Go Utes!

    Storming the field was awesome!

Good win on Saturday. Stanford has beaten Arizona St. and Washington so I don't think this is a product of Stanford being on the way down.

Now we just need to see how the team play's outside the state of Utah. Ute's have some tough games outside the state.

Very impressive victory over Stanford. We'll see how the season plays out. If stanford turns it around, like Texas has seemed to have done, then the victory looks even better. UCLA is a VERY good team. So losing to them is nothing to be ashamed of. Utah has taken huge strides winning a game in this fashion.

I hope Ute fans realize what an amazing coach they have in Kyle. The guy flat knows how to coach, analyze and adjust.Nicely done Utes, living up to what I told my fellow pack 10 buddies you would do.
Go do the same to Arizona and I'll really be a Ute fan, second only to my Sun Devils of course.

It's was great to finally have everything come together. As a Ute fan, this is the kind of win I was hoping for this year. One big win can elevate a program, and I hope this is it. All of a sudden, it looks like we could have an above .500 record in Conference this year. Despite the losses, I was very encouraged by the confidence that the Ute offense was starting to play with against OSU and UCLA. The defense stepped up in a big way and showed that they can compete in the PAC 12. It's gonna be a long season, but I see a bowl game and a winning record.
