Politics is a messy, rough and tumble business. I agree the discourse should be civil, and there's no need for threats, but opposition is not 'bullying'.

I agree that some of the comments about John Swallow and Mike Lee can be classified as bullying, but it is our obligation as citizens to stand up and let our opinions be known when we disagree with the actions of our elected officials. In your examples, Mr. Lee could also be considered a bully for the way he has represented himself ever since he was elected to the senate. I do not like his tactics, and I have the right to say that I disapprove of how he represents my state. That is not bullying.
