The irony of this is that the attackers get released, but the victims seldom do, as they have to relive the attack and abuse on a regular basis. Even good or excellent therapy doesn't erase the abuse or the memory of the abuse. Where as the majority of attackers serve their time, if they get caught, and then get released.

I would sign their petition. Oh, and how many people suffer and die because they can't get a kidney transplant in this country, but this convicted rapist gets one while in prison? Wow, just wow. I believe the death penalty is entirely appropriate for people who sexually abuse children.

My father has sought treatment he is a Vietnam Veteran, and he was always a wonderful father to me. My sister donated her kidney to him and his insurance also paid for 100% of it.She did it because she wanted to give her father life because we just want to be a family. I don't condone his actions in the past. I pray the victims are able to move on with there lives instead of obsessing over him. Life goes on bad things happen, people have mental illness and need help. The system is designed to help those correct their wrongs. He offered an apology to all the victims and is very remorseful.I know my father is a changed man and if released intensive sex offender treatment has already been arranged and he will be supervised. He has spent 20 years and has paid his debt to society. His health is not well and I can promise that he will not re-offend. We just want to be a family and I guarantee that he and our family will not contact or see the victims ever again. Forgiveness humbles you only forgive the person not the act.

sorry adamdoporto - but there is nothing more evil than a man who rapes children. Pedophiles ruin the lives of the children they violate and it is my belief that they should get the death penalty rather than life in prison - but short of the death penalty, life in prison is the only fair sentence for them.
