BYU is not worth the breath to blame them. Get well soon Chuckie. GO
AGGIES!!!! Finish the season banded as a team and win the MWC. Chuckie deserved
his acknowledgement as a Heisman Candidate. Keep the program at the top so the
Aggies, next year, can get Top Ten Rankings in all the Polls and you can launch
Chuckie into the Heisman WIN!!!!!!!
Chuckie, Good luck in the recovery. Disheartening to hear about
your knee and the lost season. Will miss watching you play.USU,
Hope you guys win out. Go Cougs.
This is terrible news. I used to buy honeybutter scones when I frequented Utah
State. I wish this fellow a speedy recovery.
@allen#2I'm confused! What does being active in the Church,
having a temple recommend, and paying a full tithe have anything to do with
footdall? Take a good looonngg look at the replay. In no way did Unga put a
vicious hit on chuckie. Chuckie jumped up and came down wrong on his knee.
Interesting spin though.
@Allen#2Agree with Cougar on The Hill. It wasn't a vicious,
malicious attack on Keeton. It's FOOTBALL!! People get injured on both
sides of the ball. The fact that you try to paint this incident as otherwise,
and use your religion to pointedly pass judgment is absolutely shameful. 99.9%
of Cougar nation is sickened by the injury and wish Keeton a speedy recovery and
successful season next year. It's terrible when anyone gets injured, and
what you should question is your understanding of the sport.
allen#2wvcare you kidding? obviously you have never played football
or any sport for that matter. accidents occur and HE landed on his leg wrong. It
had NOTHING to do with being tackled. btw what does active, tithe paying
recommend holding have to to with anything? You might check in and find out what
your beliefs really are tied to. please do me a favor and stop watching, or quit
commenting on games you didn't watch.
@ Allen#2Did you even watch the game? Keeton injured his knee while trying
to elude defenders. He jumped and landed on it wrong. Unga tackled him around
his shoulders, and no BYU player was on the ground twisting his leg. Shame on
you for making it sound like the players injured him on purpose. You should in
no way be questioning the moral standards of these BYU athletes. They took a
knee while Chuckie laid on the field as a show of respect for him. All Aggie
fans have failed to realize this.Chuckie would have definitely made a
difference if he played the whole game, but BYU's offense still put up 31
points, and would have put more on the board if they needed too.
@A1994Read some past comments and you should understand. Boise will
be a L on the schedule. It would've been with the so called "Best QB
in the state". Looks like he really isn't the "best". Without
him I think the aggies will have a tough to with the lowly WAC 2.0 teams they
have to play. He and Coach Andersen were the only reason's they were any
good. Andersen is gone and they haven't lived up the fan's talk. Now
Keeton is gone and it's gonna be even worse. Couldn't have happend to
a better team lol.
Although Jake Heaps came in the # 1 HS quarterback, I was more impressed with
Chuckie. Goodluck, heal up, and work your way to an NFL career.
Very sorry to see Chucky get hurt. It wasn't a dirty play by BYU in any
way.USU still has a very good defense with excellent linebackers so
they'll still be competitive. Boise St is hitting a dry patch, which is
why Chris Peterson - one of the best coaches in the country - will leave for USC
at the end of this season.
I'm so sorry to see him out for the season. In a way, it's surprising
that his jump move hadn't caused an injury earlier in his career -
it's a risky move that puts tremendous stress on the knees and ankles - but
I suppose it allows one to change direction more quickly than someone pushing
off on one foot. I remember Jim McMahon injuring his knee with a similar move,
though his was a jump pass rather than a change of direction move.
Chuckie, this BYU fan wishes you a fast and full recovery. You are a great
example of how a star athlete should be, and I can't wait for next season
to see you back at the helm of USU football.
Keaton will be missed. I feel Harrison will work out just fine. With the
exception of next week's Boise State game, USU should be able to move the
ball against anyone left on their schedule. USU will probably win four or five
more games on a route to another likely bowl.Get well Chuckie.
College football isn't the same without you.
This is the downside of everything good about football! So sorry to see Chuckie
go down, not only for him but for his team who depended so much on his talent
and athleticism. No one wants to see this kind of thing happen. Here's
hoping he'll mend well and return soon to lead his team next year.Go Cougars! Go Utes! Go Aggies!...on the rest of your seasons!
Big BYU fan here, but also a very big Aggie fan. Love the program and success
that the Aggies are seeing. I hope the recovery goes great for Chuckie.
He's a great player and that injury certainly changed the entire complexion
of a game I was pretty sure Utah State was going to win. Best wishes to Chuckie
and the program. I agree with @stang08 that you will be bowling. Good luck.
"A medical redshirt to get Keeton’s junior season back seems
unlikely."OH PLEASE................there is ZERO chance of that
happening. Try telling it like it ACTUALLY is instead of trying to sugar-coat
it with falsehoods.
Such a tough loss. He's a fun player to watch and will be missed on the
national scene. The Ags do have some players that can make things happen and
will have success this year. I was very impressed with the sportsmanship from
both teams the other night as they each helped each other off the turf after
tackles and other plays.Best of luck the rest of the season Ags.
Tough news. Good luck Chuckie for a quick recovery. No doubt you'll be
back next year better than ever.
That is such disheartening news! BYU fans all wish you the best, Chuckie!
@Stang08USU really only has one tough game left on their schedule:
Boise State. USU is a good football team. They will still be bowling this
year. By the way, you are about the only person in the state who seems to have
an ax to grind with the Aggies. What gives?
Very saddening news.Best of luck to you Chuckie! You'll be
Sorry about the injury but it now looks like the aggie season is going to be
worse than even I predicted because of it. It's really tough to win games
when you star and only real player is out for the season.
Unfortunate injury, hopefully surgery and rehabilitation goes great and he comes
back better, faster, and stronger and ever. Good luck chuckie on the the road
