    This really still happens? For someone to defend this behavior makes me want to puke.

    A two year old child should never be left alone anywhere, let alone in a public parking lot. How could this person justify walking around a store for half an hour, knowing full well that anything and everything could happen to the poor kid? There are alternatives.

    This is absurd. The abuse of the "neglect of disabled child" charges in recent cases gets more and more ridiculous every time. The high in Salt Lake on Sept. 19 was 72 degrees, the child was in no danger, and a two year old should not automatically qualify as "disabled" just based on his or her age.

    Lots of people in this state seem to think you shouldn't cut the umbilical cord until age 18 and that if a child spends any time by themselves before then it's a criminal matter. No wonder we have more and more kids who never really grow up.

    What kind of mental gymnastics made her think that she had done nothing wrong? Even if she left the child unattended with the AC on, this child was still unattended in a public parking lot!
