That makes sense. Utah state has clearly shown they are the second best program in the state the last few years. Byu is third, but weber is gaining. Or more correctly, byu is sinking.

Utah > usu > byu

All ute fans are in support of the aggies this weekend. And I know aggies support Utah as we battle ucla.

Why on earth would Bronco even consider having Williams play after a concussion and a spinal stinger in the Utah game?!?! That smacks of recklessness in my opinion. Recovering from a stinger takes more than a couple of weeks.

Hope the kid doesn't get injured.

Yes!!!!Utah State should be favored. They will be better prepared and better coached than BYU. The Cougars just don't put in the time.

As far as this Ute is concerned - Friday night we are all Aggies.

Go State.

Hey "Utah > usu > byu"

You forgot the last part of the equation.

At least I respect the other school enough to capitalize it, more than I can say for most fans.

Utah > usu > byu

CougarSunDevil, what does that say about your cougars?

We dominated Byu and Weber and the utah aggies and that means the utah aggies will dominate byu because we dominated the utah aggies and weber to.

Go Utes!

@ Sambonethegreat:

It's extremely doubtful that you have much knowledge concerning how bad;y William's stinger was. Some are not nearly as bad as others. As such, some players are fine after a few days and others may take several weeks. It's nice that you are so concerned. But please know that there is a qualified sports team doctor who closely monitors the progress of injuries for each player who has any, and won't release anyone to play until that player is physically ready.

I've known Bronco for sometime and he has always kept the welfare of his players above the desire for winning. It's your insinuation of Bronco being reckless that is actually what is reckless. You are just shooting from the hip.

@ 54-10:

Anyone who has ever read at least several of your comments knows that you are not so much for the Aggies as you are against the Cougars. One of Chris B's little group of minions who always hate anything BYU. It must feel pretty negataive to always live with that kind of hatred.

@ Where is Hadley:

You must not think too highly of the Utes if you think BYU is third and sinking... and considering how the Utes barely beat BYU by single digits after the game went right to the end with BYU gaining more yardage and getting more first downs. BYU has improved since then. There is no evidence that Utah has.

And also considering how most people feel that the Aggies outplayed the Utes in their close came in SLC (again with more yardage, first downs and time of possession). Also, USU is currently ranked better than Utah by USA today and the Sagarin ratings. Therefore, it's much more likely that the true current order is: #1 Aggies, #2 BYU #3 Utah and #4 Weber.

@ utah< BYU< USU:

Your comment doesn't say nearly as much about the Cougars as it does about your current ignorance of in-state college football. Try harder to keep up.

Its a shame USU and BYU both lost to Utah this year. Utah State especially so since they are the best overall team in the state. I will not be surprised by any result tomorrow. USU could win this one handily if BYU turns the ball over like they did last week. BYU could dominate if they throw like they did last week and run like they have all year. Williams unfortunate injury was the deciding factor in the Cougars loss to Utah. Hoffman's absence was the difference in the Virginia loss.

I predict a low scoring affair 13-10 in the Cougars favor. These two teams are so evenly matched, I only see BYU having a distinct advantage in one category--special teams. That is where I expect BYU will have the best chance tomorrow.

I am going to enjoy tonight's game. It snowed in West Jordan today. Utes have a legit chance to finally get a win against a good team in the PAC. Good luck Utah! Good luck tomorrow BYU.

Tators, it must feel pretty negative living as a fan of a team who hasn't done anything noteworthy on the natinoal stage in 20 years.

And hasn't done anything with its current coach to suggest anything is in its future.

South Jordan, UT

Please stop the negativity! It's absolutely sickening!

Seriously? If you are going to attempt talking smack make it good and believable.

BYU has had more national relevance than Utah since Wittingham and Bronco became head coaches. BYU has been ranked more. BYU has had bigger wins save the Sugar Bowl victory the Utes had over Alabama. Even this year BYU has had the more relevant win with its victory over Texas than the Utes biggest story when they defeated Weber State. Why on earth did the win over Weber State get more national coverage than the other two wins Utah has had is beyond me.

Utah has to do something other than beat USU or BYU to be noticed on the national stage. They have to win a game against UCLA tonight or beat a team that finishes with a winning conference record. Utah has yet to prove its relevant in its conference let alone on a national stage.

But BYU is still fully invested.

It's rare that you see the Aggies favored in this game. But they were favored in the Ute game and look what happend then. Were they favored in the USC game? Not likely.

A pretty pathetic cross section of BYU haters.

Ogden, Utah

Again Stang, you're wrong. USU was never favored in that game, at least not by any reliable odds makers that I'm aware of. If fact I think USU covered the spread.
