Was chuckie ever the worst passer rating QB in the entire country?

ya, and Barack might become Ronald Reagan

Travis Wilson has a better chance of being the next Chuckie than Taysom

To answer the question posited (not posed, but posited):

Ya, and Alabama's present is byu's future.

Not a chance. Chuckie is shifty, Hill is a downhill runner. Hill's future is more like Alex Smith, but before we can have that conversation Hill would need to grow an arm and a brain.

Sorry Lafe. Chuckie was better than Taysom from day one. Taysom can improve, but I would never compare him to Chuckie Keeton.

Maybe in a parallel universe. But, I doubt it!

"Ya, and Alabama's present is byu's future."

That is so wrong! Byu's past is Bama's present.

hahahhahahahha, no way man. Someone hide this article from Chuckie.

Wow, did you ever miss the obvious: What about head-to-head? These two gentlemen have already squared off on the same field. Outcome? Chuckie - 22/38 for 202 yards with no TDs/INTs, plus 10 carries for 23 yards; Taysom - 24/36 for 235 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT, plus 19 carries for 80 yards. Taysom won and Chuckie lost, by every conceivable metric including scoreboard. Conclusion: I'll take Taysom for the win, just as he delivered last year.

Keeton's future has nothing to do with Hill's. They are built differently, have different running styles and play with teams that possess different offensive styles/strategies.

Look at the teams that USU played against in 2012. Heck I can throw for 3,000 yards against those teams.

I like the decisions that byu is making with Hill

This is much to say about nothing...Keeton is NOT the cat's meow; Just look at the last two years against BYU:
1) 2011 he only had 122 yards passing and 25 yards rushing and BYU won;
2) 2011 he was bested in both categories by none other than Riley Nelson--the fullback!
3) 2012 he had 202 yards passing, with only 16 being the longest; Taysom Hill had 235 yards passing;
4) Chuckie the wonder boy only managed a net of 37 yards on the ground and was sacked 3 times;
5) Taysom had 80 yards by himself.
6) And, last year, BYU won again!
Bottom line-when it comes to the games that count with BYU, Chuckie is wanting!

I can't believe this is even a conversation. It is just a BYU fan trying to justify that their truly horrible quarterback (but great running back) may have some potential. Chuckies first game as a freshman was against the defending national champios and he still had an amazing start. Lets also not forgot how truly bad Virginia is this year and also how over rated Texas was. The only stat the Taysom can compete at is Chuckies passing yeards as a freshman through seven games, but look at the percentages and the number of attempts. Taysom will have to throw twice as many balls as chuckie did.
No chance for Taysom Hill

"The passing touchdowns and completion percentage are heavily in Keeton's favor, but notice that Hill leads in yards passing.

So, there is hope."

Because passing yards which don't turn into points count for so much...

It seems like ever since the 2011 Utah game, the sharks have been circling with blood in the water just waiting for the Quarterbacks at BYU to fail. From everything that I see, the current regime at BYU does not know how to manage quarterbacks.

I don't think Hill will ever come close to being like Chuckie Keeton because unless something drastic changes, his coaches will not put him in a position to succeed. I don't think it's the X's and O's, there is something that is just dysfunctional right now in regards to the BYU offense.

You do realize that quarterbacks don't play against each other right? They play against the opposing defense... saying that Taysom "won head to head" is an absurd claim. Do you even understand how football works?

Give byu's defense last year credit, they kept Chuckie in check but do you think Taysom would have done any better than that against that #3 defense in the country last year? No way.
