I'm surprised that NS didn't have an ambulance on hand at the game. I'm even more surprised that it took almost a half hour to get one on the field. There's a hospital about 4 blocks away from the high school in Mt Pleasant. Sure they rely on volunteer EMT's to get the job done, but that doesn't mean only the EMT's on call should be the ones to help. The town I live in will attract a crowd of EMT's to a boys sprained ankle at the city park. They all have pagers and love to carry them around.
