"The Boy Scouts are in exactly ZERO danger of being sexually assaulted by heterosexual leaders."

Chris.

Nicholas Groth literally wrote entire textbooks about sexual predators. His studies are considered classics in the field.

Groth specifically states that:
-- "in over 12 years of clinical experience working with child molesters, we have yet to see any example of a regression from an adult homosexual orientation"; and

-- "Homosexual males pose LESS risk of sexual harm to children (both male and female)--from both an absolute and a percentage incidence rate--than heterosexual males...".

In one study of 175 men who had been convicted of sexual assaults against (male) children, he found that NONE of the offenders showed any preference for adult homosexual relationships.

Do you SERIOUSLY believe that you know more about sexual predators than Groth does?? Seriously??

What leads you to believe that you know more about sexual predators than multiple experts in the field do?

If scout safety were truly paramount to you, then you would acknowledge the facts that have been set before you multiple times already.

Clinging to inaccurate fantasies does nothing to protect scouts.

Do we know how a homosexual leader was allowed to be alone with Boy Scouts in the first place?

Did this man lie about who he was?

If the current rules had been enforced, none of these boys would have been abused.

It's sad that people lie about who they are to get access to vulnerable children.

I certainly believe there could be homosexuals who wouldn't abuse children, but its about the risk that exits, not the guarantee.

There is by definition a higher risk of abuse when there is the potential for a leader to be attracted to those he is supposed to be leading.

That is why the rules are what they are.

Scout safety is paramount.

When the rules aren't followed, or people lie, abuse can occur.

The current Boy Scout rules regarding who can and cant be leaders, when followed, will prevent 100% of scout abuse cases.

It is simply a fact of life that homosexual men are attracted to males. Just as a couple men shouldn't be taking a small group of young neighbor girls alone camping, it just doesn't make sense to put vulnerable scouts in a position where an older man may be attracted to them, without their parent supervision.

Parents trust the Boy Scouts to keep their boys safe.

And the current rules are "abuse-proof" when they are followed.

No heterosexual leader will EVER abuse a Boy Scout. He has no desire to do that.

We should work together on enforcing these rules, and 100% of abuse can be prevented.

And that is something we all would like to see.

Apologies for my delayed response!

@Christopher.B --

Why do you expect anyone to take your claims seriously?

The true experts about sexual predators know that

-- "in over 12 years of clinical experience working with child molesters, we have yet to see any example of a regression from an adult homosexual orientation"

-- "Homosexual males pose LESS risk of sexual harm to children (both male and female)--from both an absolute and a percentage incidence rate--than heterosexual males..."

-- "only about 4 percent of same-sex abuse involves homosexual perpetrators"

-- "sexual orientation was not related to the sex of the victim targeted"

-- "homosexual males pose LESS risk of sexual harm to children (both male and female)--from both an absolute and a percentage incidence rate--than heterosexual males"

-- "many child molesters don't really have an adult sexual orientation"

-- "many child molesters cannot be meaningfully described as homosexuals, heterosexuals, or bisexuals...because they are not really capable of a relationship with an adult man or woman"

Why do you think you know better than they do?

Have you made the study of sexual predators your life's work, as they have?

Or are you just trolling?
