It will be a good test. MTSU will feel the effect of the altitude, and this is a game where 'go fast go hard' will help us, especially late in the game..

Not taking seriously an up and coming team like this from a smaller school is exactly what caused Michigan a big upset loss at home to a division II team a few years ago. The same thing could happen to BYU if they overlook this school who played a very respectable game against North Carolina.

Considering this will also be the first chance to show fans what things have been corrected from last game, this should be an interesting game to watch. Being the underdog, Middle Tennessee has nothing to lose and so will be bringing it all in their attempt to upset the Cougars.

This has all the makings of a trap game for BYU.

No matter what the Cougar players say, they and their fans penciled in a W for this game as soon as it appeared on the schedule.

If the hangover from last Saturdays loss is still lingering...

Playing a quick hungry team looking to make some noise could become a problem for the Cougars.

MTSU has been a solid program for quite some time and likely will finish near the top of their league with 8-9 wins. They also have more speed than what either Utah or Texas had, though not the same level of talent. The game should be a challenge. The advantages I see BYU having in this game are altitude and being better disciplined. I watched the NCS MTSU game and discipline was the difference in that game.

BYU needs to stick to its game plan and never relent if they are to win this one.

Are you guys excited for the big game against Middle Tennessee? I'm sure provo, LDS wards around the country, and Middle Tennesse fans will be watching with great interest. Even though neither team is alive for a BCS bowl or power conference title, I am sure there is some reason to watch the game? Good luck to all teams!

I know I'm excited for Utah's HUGE game against Pac 12 and national powerhouse UCLA, with the winner likely winning the Pac 12 south and a birth in the Pac 12 title game with a date against Oregon for the Rose Bowl. There are HUGE BCS bowl and Conference of champion title game implications in this game.

Just how good is MTSU? Let's put it this way. A 2 and 1 BYU is a 22 point favorite!

There is huge implications for UCLA. thats it buddy. No implications for you. I am willing to accept defeat and admit the utes won, but lets not get ahead of ourselves. beating BYU by a touchdown and being one holding call away from going to overtime does not put you in the position to win the PAC 12.

Middle Tennessee is a MUCH better team than the Weber State team U played a couple of weeks ago.

They're not as big or as deep as other teams in the southeast, but they are very fast and athletic.

It'll be a much bigger challenge and much more exciting to watch than watching Utah pummel a hapless Weber State team.

Wow that conference of irrelevance schedule is really picking up now. I wonder how many empty seats there will be in LES on Saturday???

hahahah, UCLA is now a national powerhouse!?!? yeah right, who have they beaten? Nebraska?? who barely beat Wyoming, Utah will be a bottom feeder in the PAC AGAIN, you couldn't beat Oregon State at home remember?

I expect there will be 65000 empty seats on Saturday.
The game is tomorrow night.

You said - "Playing a quick hungry team looking to make some noise could become a problem for the Cougars."

That is exactly why BYU players and coaches need this win. A win against Middle Tennessee will be a huge plus, especially going into Logan next week against Utah State.

From here on out, no game should be overlooked by the Cougar players, coaches and fans.

My prediction is, there will be very few, if any, empty seats Saturday.

You may not give us much credit, but us Cougar fans know we've still got nine games to go, and nothing at this point is a foregone conclusion.

Beside Middle Tennessee, we still have home games against Georgia Tech and Boise State, and road games against Utah State, Houston, Wisconsin and Notre Dame.

Yes, it stinks losing to Utah again. I won't sugar coat that at all. But just as the Utes bounced back after losing at home to Oregon State, BYU will do the same.

@Chris B. Nice to see you're back. You are amusing for sure.

Let's see ... Utah loses to Oregon State so this game has "HUGE BCS BOWL and CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP implications" ...

LOL - keep it up. This is hilarious.

Here's a prediction: Utah breaks even and gets a bowl invitation to the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl to play BYU.

LOL
