I love this little book. I think I got one for each of my married children and for myself back when it was first publish. Now all (8) of them have it. It is a delightful book to read and does touch my heart to read it over and over again.

Thank you for the story behind this wonderful book. We say "Love You Forever" a lot too.

The "as long as I'm living" part didn't sit well with me, so I change it when I read it to my son. "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always. Eternally, baby, your mother I'll be."

redbaron--we, like you found the 'as long as I'm living' part too depressing---because we aren't going to stop liking or loving each other just because someone is no longer 'living' in earth terms.

We changed that part to "Forever and ever"

This is such a heartwarming story that I loved reading to my children. The concept of forever is a good addition.
