2013 Ute Seniors SWEEP byU 4-0
Ogden, UT

Can noy, Hoffman, Taysom hill, and many others will end their careers not knowing what it's like to beat their rival.

4-0 sweep!
Second 4-0 sweep of last 15 years for Utah.

Guess how many 4-0 sweeps byu has in that time ?

NONE

One of these programs has a history. And one has a future.

The future of football in Utah, is Utah

And winning for the fourth year in a row, hopefully it's clear why we are moving away from the former rivalry.

Fresno is a more prestigious program and a better challenge.

Besides, PAC 12 teams don't have rivalries with lower quality programs.

And if you aren't in a bcs conference or aren't notre dame, you are a low quality program

Refs fault?
The rain?
You gave us turnovers?

What excuse this year byu?

Byu fans,

Is it embarrassing you can't beat us?

I know I would be very embarrassed to support a program that can't beat their rival

But since we are 1-1 against Colorado, I don't have that problem.

Utahs QUEST is alive and well

Winner of Utah ucla game will win PAC 12 south.

BYU will win tonight. And Utah will have a losing season and not go to a bowl. If the U put as much energy into all its games as it does against its rival, it could have a decent season in the PAC.

I don't get the U's obsession with BYU. Good luck with that "moving on" thing...

It's been my experience that those who are the most vehement in denouncing other teams are typically those who never felt the joy of hitting a receiver in stride, been "in the zone" and heard the sweet sound of their "three" hitting nothing but net, or the pure crack when a bat makes perfect contact with a fastball. You didn't have to use words in a weak attempt to lessen an opponent, you just enjoyed the purity of the sport and "spoke" with action.

As I grow older, I get a similar joy when watching athletes achieve excellence ... even if they don't play for "my team". And degrading opponents or their fans is still just as unappealing as it was when I enjoyed the physical ability that an aging body no longer affords.

Accentuate the positive.

Pre-game hype is just that--hype! The game is on the field, where Utah has had better squads (and luck) for the last few years. However, Utah fans who believe their football program has evolved to a place where they are above playing the Cougars have failed Rivalry History 101. If you think that BYU's season ended with Virginia--just ask Texas!

BUY 48 Utah 17

Wilson sacked 7 times, throws 2 picks.
Break out game for new receivers at BYU

Looks like a lot of UTE fans piling on before tonights loss to BYU, get em in girls and boys, 12 more hours of trash talking and it all comes to an end.

Win or lose tonight, our season doesn't come down to this game. I doubt our seniors will be 0-4 after today, but even if they are, we have a lot of good games with a probable bowl. What do the Utes have to look forward to? After losing to PAC12 "power" Oregon St, I think we know. We'll see you guys tonight! But even more importantly, you'll be watching us in December (as you usually are). Our season is a whole body of work, yours is one game.

If Dick Facer's statement "Taysom Hill will need an even more prominent performance than his 259 rushing yards against Texas" is true, it appears just as true to say that Utah's team is better than the U of Texas.

I highly doubt it. And so do the compilers of the national football polls.

I've never seen anyone count their chickens before their eggs are hatched more than a specific Ute fan. It used to be somewhat irritating, but now he's downright comical. Thankfully, this will be his last day of posting for awhile. 12 hours from now, the depression of reality is going to set in for him and a few other over-the-top Ute commenters.

No rain expected tonight. Hoping for a good game that BYU wins by a touchdown or more.

Changing the strategy. Picking utah to win, considering the better team. Opposite of the last 3 years. Seeing utah in red will be awesome to see!

Uncle Rico,

If byu wins by 31 I'll join the Cougar Club!

LOL

What's funny is in your dream world byu wins by 31

In REALITY Utah won by 44, in Provo!

We do better in reality than you do in your dreams!

Utah wins.

AGAIN

byu fans,

Is it embarassing losing for the FOURTH time in a row?

Did you know this is the SECOND 4-0 sweep over byu in the last 15 years.

Guess how many 4-0 sweeps byu has over utah in last 15 years?

byu fans are jealous of our 4-0 winning streak against you

byu fans are jealous ouf our Pac 12 membership

byu fans are jealous of our recent BCS bowls, recent undefeated seasons, recent top 5 finishes.

What has byu done recently?

LOL!

Let the games begin!!

Finally, all the predictions are over and the bravado and the chest-beating are done. Now the game, the only thing that really matters, is ready to begin.

BYU versus Utah.

If you have a heart condition it would be a good idea to tape this and watch it later.

I really hope that this doesn't come down to the last second, but I am expecting it.

The royal blues look good...should be worth at least a touchdown.

The all-red Utes look good too, but isn't good for any points.

Glad BYU had two weeks to prepare for this one.

Where's Stockton ???

The only thing that I have seen about this up paced offense that Robert Anae brought out of Arizona is that it gets BYU in a hole a lot faster...otherwise it's still the same old no imaginative gambling that he was known for before.
