Utah's recent run of good fortune in the series ends on Saturday.

The arrogant, over-confident kids on the hill are about to be taught a lesson in the proper eating of humble pie!

4-0 SWEEP for Utah seniors.

Van Noy, Hoffman, and others will never know what it's like to beat their rivals.

How embarassing

Utah on 3-0 streak

Interesting that Utah also has a 3-0 winning streak over byu in recruiting, both HEAD TO HEAD and average stars.

Stars do matter, but if you want to pretend they don't, they just look at head to head.

Utah's even getting the best Mormon kids these days

Think those two 3-0 streaks are correlated?

Yep!

The future of football in Utah, is Utah

Considering byu has the WORST passer rating QB in the entire country, I was more worried about the Weber game than I am the byu game.

After this win, it will be SIX straight years without byu fans having a win over Utah in football

I love being better than usu/byu.

Oregon state is the team that lost to a division II team

BYU doesn't lose to the U

Depends on which teams show up.

The BYU team that lost to Virginia is not the BYU team that beat Texas.

Along the same line, the Utah team that lost to Oregon State is not the Utah team that beat Utah State.

It will come down to, what team wants this game more?

With the loss to Oregon State, every win from here on out is crucial for the Utes if they plan to be bowl eligible.

As for BYU, this game is mainly about winning for the seniors as well as for the fans in Provo. But that doesn't make it any less important for BYU than it does for Utah.

@Chris B

You didn't ask us BYU fans to "Write it Down!" or "Mark it Down!"

Do I sense a little nervous uncertainty?

@Chris B.

All that PAC pride and U still haven't left BYU behind. Figures.

For the first time in my life, I hope the Cougs drill U.

YbU fans are hopeful. But an 0-4 possibility with a two year break has many YbU fans nervous, and anxious. Saturday can't get here quick enough!

Hopefully Sitake gets it in the defensive backs' heads that they need to be more aggressive, more "selfish" ("It's MY ball!!!") about getting those turnovers! They had their opportunities against OSU. Now they need to capitalize this week and make big things happen on Saturday night!

Go Utes!

Give it a rest Chris B. You must work for the D-News because that is the only way I can see how your endless drivel makes it past moderators. Three or four comments in a row at the beginning of every comment section is just too much.

I wish this rivalry was just about the football game. I wish the Chris B's and the Duckhunters and all the other mean-spirited fanatics in both fan bases would just go away. It would make it so much better for the rest of us who just like to watch the games. I keep coming to the DN hoping for well thought commentary about the game rather than silly, pointless drivel that sounds like 12 year olds trying to one-up each other. There is so much ugliness in this rivalry and I am fast burning out on it. Neither school is an elite program right now, but you wouldn't know that from listening to the loudmouths in each fan base.
