We put in the backups for the entire 2nd half, we let them go full force for 1/2 of the 3rd qtr andran the offense because those kids worked hard for their playing time. From then on out we ran the ball over and over. We weren't constantly trying to score. It's weber's job to stop us.

Lixireat...Classless? The entire second half was played by the twos and threes. You can't coach players to not try. What are you a Weber State Cat in Indiana? If so talk to your AD (a USU graduate by the way) and request that Weber State not play Utah, USU, or BYU. But the fans want to see their team play with excellence, not just taking a knee over and over, which is just as insulting as trying to run up the score.

Classless? The starters didn't play in the second half. Second and third stringers still want to play hard and show what they got. Weber kept their starters in the game. Unfortunately, Weber is just that bad this year.

I agree with Lixireat. The aggie playeres, coaches, and especially fan's are classless. Look at all these pathetic attempts to insult me. All the stuff they have said about me is just a very bad attempt to hide the truth about themselves. And whoever said that thing about the civil dialogue not concerning me is wrong of course. Just look at your fellow aggies throughout the years. Not civil at all.

@lixircat @stang08

Its not like we were passing the ball when we were up by that many. What would you like the running backs to do when they are in wide open space? fall down haha. you are a joke, both of you. Players are going to compete no matter what the score is especially when they don't get reps like the first team does. use your football common sense if you have any.

How is it classless when you play your second and third strings in the entire second half (mostly 3rd string including the QB for the entire 4th quarter) and you run the ball just about every single play after about the 10 minute mark in the 3rd quarter, and go for it on 4th down so the defense has a chance to get the stop? Would you rather Utah State just take a knee every down or kindly walk over and hand your defense the ball every possession? Trust me, the USU fans wish it had been a more competitive game as well, but you can't just tell your guys who are looking to earn more playing time in the future to just go half-steam.

That said, I have to hand the Weber State players some serious props for continuing to battle under the worst conditions. That Chipoletti guy was pretty impressive and has some moxy, as does the guy who picked up the botched snap to score. That says a lot about those players as football players and as people, and their team will look to them as leaders moving forward. Payday will come.

Question: If the T-birds were up on Weber 70-0 with a quarter and a half left to play, what would you have the T-birds do? Roll over? Play dead?

Weber had way too many mistakes and miscues when playing our second and third stringers. And they paid dearly for it.

The players are going to play ball, not take a knee for the rest of the game. If anything, that would be every bit as classless as running up the score. Best to get experience for the back-ups.

Ugly couple of weeks for Weber. It would be wise for them to put it behind them and focus on conference play.

Hey Stang0, I don't think you are able to respond to anything based upon fact, but rather just identify, is USU involved, then make some crazy statement against the Aggies. It is you who labeled, in these public forums, all Aggies as "morons and idiots". It was you who said Keeton was nothing special and not the best QB in the state, it was you who said the Aggies will have a lousy season. And just like last year, when we had real occasion to celebrate the greatest football season ever, this year we can enjoy the excitement of a really good football team while all you can do is moan and groan about how inept, bad, and offensive Aggies are. I feel privileged to be able to cheer on the Aggies and Keeton, as we will have, hopefully, one more year of his amazing performances.

USU and Chuckie are for real. You guys destroyed Air Force and USC is very beatable. Just don't make stupid personal fouls and you may surprise a lot of people very soon.

lixircat, you might want to make note of the fact the the first team only played the first half. All the Aggies on the field in the second half were 2nd and 3rd team players. A coach cannot ask his players to not play hard - he can only control which players get in the game. Rolling over would have been classless.

only speak of what you know, the Aggies let off the throttle wayyyyyy early. It could have been 100-0 without much effort. the fact that it was only 70 was a class act in itself.

Classless Stang, is making it a point to downgrade the Aggies and their fans on every article about them posted on here. You are the epitome of the pot calling the kettle black

+1,000,000 on tinplater's and AgVikBronc's comments. Well said.

I don't see how this is a classless win. The Aggies pulled a big chunk of starters before the half was even over! As a matter of fact, after 5 minutes of the 3rd quarter the Aggies were done scoring. Those 3 touchdowns came on breakaway plays, not from aggressive play calling. Settle down and get back to whatever people in Indiana do.

To me 'classless' is often a scapegoating term for heartless effort... Bitterly disappointed in their own team's performance, they look to make it hurt less by spewing 'hate' towards the team that didn't decide to show up offenseless and defenseless two consecutive weeks. Were the same posts written on the article recapping the game in SLC, one week prior? I guess to expect consistency from sports fans is like expecting the same success or failure for consecutive coaches or classes of students. To have said that this is a down year for USU is simply crazy. It is more of a down year for the Wildcats and Air Force Academy who for two consecutive weeks scored as many as or one point less against two different teams. However, the thing in WSU's favor is that it didn't happen at home.... To my knowledge both of AFA's disappointments happened in Colorado Springs... BSU is vulnerable... USC is vulnerable... To rule out losses for either based on a new coached team is simply crazy as well! I am glad games are played despite fan interpolations.
