All well & good except Colin K can pass w/ accuracy.

For 3 years Riley Nelson is Tim Tebow and now Taysom is Kapernick?

Tell me, id Kaepeernick ever have the WORST qb passer rating in the entire country?

Don't mock Kaepernick with such a comparison.

Kaepernick 70% accuracy as mentioned in the article

Hill 33% accuracy.

Yep, I can see the strong comparison!

With little more than the title of this article, Teeples has lost all credibility!

Why not start beating the national championship drum while we're at it.

BYU lost to Virginia. VIRGINIA!!

This last win was nice, but it was one win over Texas team that could be terrible.

Let's just take it one game at a time.

Children, read the article.

Good grief this is pathetic.

Daddykins, we did! Still an absurd comparison. Kaepernick played professional baseball and it has always been known he has a rocket launcher for an arm.

Hill can't even do a decent baseball SLIDE!

Salt Lake City, UT

Laughing at the naysayers!

Colin Kaepernick was a four-year starter at Nevada from 2007-2010.

Taysom Hill is a five-GAME starter at BYU (3 games last year, 2 games this year).

It's silly to even be trying to compare the two at this point.

Anybody trying to label Taysom a bust this early in his career is simply a hater.

Salt Lake City, UT

Kaepernick can pass. Hill hasn't shown much of that his first two games.

As much as I loved sitting in the stands last Saturday and watching the beat down of Texas, this comparison is probably a little premature.

Get Real!

This really can't be a serious article.

The lowest rated passer in the NCAA is Adam Dingwell of SDSU.

Durham, NC

All this after just one game... really?

After starting eight games during his freshman year (2007), this is how Kaepernick performed in a 0-23 shutout loss to New Mexico in the New Mexico Bowl:

13 of 31 passing (42%), 137 yards (a long of 24 yards), 0 TDs
12 rushes for 26 yards

If Kaepernick had played for BYU, Christy would have labeled Colin a miserable failure and would have suggested that BYU find a "real" QB to start in 2008.

Right now what we are seeing is the wishbone offense. Once he can run it effectively, then it will be the option read. Hill is young, he will improve.

Jake Locker is a more accurate comparison. If you compare Locker as a sophomore to Hill the resemblance is uncanny. Locker was never a great passer, but he was still a good enough athlete to be a 1st round draft pick, and the starting QB for the Titans.

Taysom could totally be better than Kapernicks. He is faster, bigger and throws a better ball. You guys just wait and see them.

Ute Fans crack me up,

You need intervention and deep psychological help !

That's just funny, all the trolls coming to the defense of Colin Kaepernick. When he sent you all's former #1 draft pick to the bench to pick up a clip board and send signals in so he could take the 49ers to the Superbowl you weren't so hot on him.
