Wow! Some chapel.
35,000 square feet and a steeple on top of a three story facade.
It would seem the Church is trying to make a statement here without building another temple.
What gives?

This should bring tons of converts!

I served my mission in New Jersey a few decades ago when the saints in Newark met on one of the floors of an office building in the Ironbound sector of Newark. I am happy that the saints in that area are increasing in strength and numbers enough to warrant a new building. It is a very tough area to live in. The saints who stick to the gospel there are as faithful as they come. I'm happy for them.

>>>Two Mormon congregations were founded 175 years ago in Monmouth County, and today there are now five chapels in New Jersey with 32,744 members.

I count 47 meetinghouses in New Jersey and not 5. Also 61 congregations (37 wards and 24 branches) organized in 5 stakes and 1 district.
