What happens if the parents tell their kids that people who are different are not loved by God and His children?

What happens if (as sure as the Sun comes up) some of the kids are Gay, and other kids and parents say bad things about them? Or sort of good" things such as ;too bad, we must love them anyway" (Substitute handicapped, or slow, or different race, etc etc)

Would it not be wonderful if all the kids learn to accept every child of God as he or she was born? A danger in Utah is that the population is less diverse than in some other places, and human nature pushes majorities to look down on minorities, unless taught better.
