Truth Machine: Top Ten final rankings in the last 20 years Utah 3 BYU 1...
SouthFLUteUpsets happen; the true measure of success isn't
determined by a single game each season, but by overall record and ranking, and
that record speaks for itself.AP Top 25 Rankings last 20 yearsBYU 7Utah 5Conference ChampionshipsBYU 7Utah
5Despite all of the bluster from the hill, all of those head-to-head
wins versus BYU add up to a whole lot of nothing but one game bragging rights.
SouthFLutsie,I think I will trust the national media instead. Sorry
buddy. One game does not a season make.Utes will be 3-9 this year,
possibly 4-8 if they are lucky.
I find it amusing how all of you BYU fans talk about how bad Utah's program
is, yet the Utes have had the upper hand against you for past 20 years. (Utah 13
wins 7 losses) Utes are so awful, then what does that say about the credibility
of your program? I think we'll see a turn around on the hill. I think the
Utes will probably go 7-5 this year, with wins against both BYU and Utah St.. Go
"Most of the U's coaching staff are former BYU players! "4 of
17 is not "most".
Maybe we should play some games before we start planning a bowl game, huh?
Don't be so sure about the USU prediction. They may have to fight a little
more just to get back into the Potato Bowl.
Awesome for all the teams... even that one vote. doh!
The "other prognosticators" are right.
TJ, off the top of my head, Utah: Norm Chow (Hawaii), Mike McCoy (Chargers);
BYU: Kyle Whittingham (Utah), Andy Reid (Chiefs), Steve Sarkesian (Washington).
@ThomasJeffersonMost of the U's coaching staff are former BYU
players! At least the head coach and defensive coordinator both are.
Predictions made before a game is even played are only distractions, they have
very little meaning!
While I agree that BYU and USU are (hopefully) bowl bound (it still has to be
proven on the field of play) I wouldn't count the UTES out. Utah gets to
play some of the toughest teams on their own turf, which gives the UTES a
decided advantage, especially due to the altitude. I would love to see all
three teams go bowling, but first, let's have fun this season, and WIN some
(a lot of) games!
