Congrats to Mike Walker. He beat up on BYU pretty good in 2011, but I believe was injured a sizable portion of last season. Looking for him to return to 2011 form, and the team to 2011 results, this season!

Utah went 5-7 last season and ended a run of nine consecutive bowl appearances.

And with a lot tougher schedule, they will be lucky to win 3 games.

I'm sure those guys are great people, but their enthusiasm isn't going to get the wins. Lack of experience, injuries, just to many holes to fill. Enjoy the sub par year ute fans and no bowl game for a second straight year. BYU on the other hand will have a winning season and participate in a post season bowl game.

I can't wait for the season to start!!

Go cougs!!!

Byufanman.... You are dreaming..Utah will squash byu like always and BYU is not looking good at all for the upcoming season.

@max-was-wrong, byu fan etc.

It's time to quit yapping on your rival's boards and follow your own team as the season opens. You will have your own hands full this year, and you guys will have a hard time getting enough wins to get bowl eligible.

Last year at this time we were picked to win 8-10 games, this year 3-5.

Congrats to the captions and lets overachieve this year as much as we underachieved last year.

As a huge BYU fan, I hate the Utes...just kidding. You can't help but like Trevor Reily. He is one great example to all sports fans. Good luck to him and the Utes...except against BYU. Trevor yopu are the MAN!!!

I really don't think the proclamation the headline makes matters. It will come down to whether or not they are any good, not because a few guys appear to be "determined". Personally I think they will have another losing, bowl less season, but they might surprise and make it to .500, far stranger things have happened.

I'll say this, if they do somehow reach, or even break, .500 then they will have earned it.

Just come with an chip on your shoulder to every game and instill that into your teammates.
